I've been shamed into updating this thing again. On the diet front, I'm doing quite well. better than I expected. Down to 201.5 as of yesterday's weigh-in. I still have a bit of a gut, though. I really need to start exercising better! Another area I've always been kind of slack is just organization in general. Putting things where they belong, keeping track of projects and to do lists - my desk always looks like a tornado recently swept through. I previously mentioned Lifehacker. Clancyblog: Google Maps

http://clancyblog.blogspot.com/2006/08/google-maps.html

I've been playing with the Google Maps API. A bit It was tough to get it working with Blogger - I tried three different "this is how to do it" pages before I found the one that worked. Ironically, the one that worked wasn't Blogger specific like the others. It's the Google Map Maker. Now that I (kind of) know what I'm doing, I'll definitely play around with this more. For one thing, I think I can get different maps working for specific posts pretty easily (well, relatively easily). Links to this post.

Feed of the week. As a relatively new homeowner, I want to get some artwork up on my walls. But anyone who's paid attention knows good art can be EXPENSIVE. And I'm not talking about original oil paintings here - even a decent print can cost a hundred dollars or more. Posted by John @ 6:27 AM. Links to this post. Clancyblog: Here we go...

http://clancyblog.blogspot.com/2006/08/here-we-go.html

I mainly set this up so I can play around with web page layouts, CSS, javascript, etc. Exciting, I know. I will probably use it to post pictures and stories that my friends and family might be interested in. If you're not one of these, welcome! Enjoy the slight voyeuristic thrill of getting a peek into the mind of someone without much to say. Then leave me a comment. Posted by John @ 11:26 AM. Links to this post. At 8/16/2006 11:40 AM. Clancyblog: 01/01/2007 - 02/01/2007

http://clancyblog.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html

I've been half-heartedly looking into various diets and exercise plans for a few weeks, with the goal of making a New Year's Resolution to lose some gut. None of them looked all that promising, until I saw a few coworkers calculating their Weight Watchers. Points" when we were out to lunch one day. Telling me I can't eat anything but fruits and vegetables (and only certain. Plus, WW has been around, like, forever. They have to be doing something right. So, I signed up. I hit that goal. From Black Rock City to Bangkok, and beyond, by Bones. Northward, with Jack. Published Tuesday, September 26, 2006 by Bones. Did a doublepost this time 'cause I had some time, so the one below is new, too. Enjoy! On the Nature of Our Things. Headlamps were the only thing that let us get back from Raylay East to Tonsai Beach in the dark over the top through the jungle route. After our snorkel trip the tide was all the way in, so the easy way back was neck-deep in water and pitch black. She told me, and on...

Music, Poker, and Life: July 2006

http://kindbits.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html

Music, Poker, and Life. Thursday, July 27, 2006. My online bankroll has been moving in the right direction as of late, and quickly at that. I've had a really good week. I guess when you make more $ in your 2 days off than you bring home in your weekly paycheck, that qualifies as a good week, right? Or I just needing a better paying job, it can work either way I suppose- lol. Am I becoming a better poker player, or just an opportunistic one? Posted by kindbits at 4:53 AM. Sunday, July 23, 2006. Music, Poker, and Life. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. All work and no play. It's been over a week since I have played any poker. I suffered through a looooooong week at work, amassing over 70 hours due to the Memorial Day holiday (including one marathon 18 hour shift). Unfortunately, I am on salary so this did nothing for my paycheck! I state that I have, then he points to a guy next to the fresh doughnut case. Does he look familiar to you? Music, Poker, and Life. Thursday, October 26, 2006. Owning a house can sure tire you out! The last week and a half I have spackled, primed, painted, scrubbed, drilled, installed, screwed (not the fun kind), and hammered enough to last me for 20 years. The good folks at Home Depot now wave to me when I show up twice a day. There is still a lot to do, but we are getting there. Big day yesterday. deliveries! Posted by kindbits at 8:35 AM. Music, Poker, and Life: September 2006

http://kindbits.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html

Music, Poker, and Life. Thursday, September 21, 2006. It's been one hell of a week. So of course being up all night saturday, I slept through a good portion of the Eagles-Giants game on sunday, but I was very happy with the result. Living as a Giants fan in Philadelphia can be unbearable when the Eagles are victorious. Would you believe I haven't heard a peep out of those obnoxious Philly fans this week! I've actually behaved myself and haven't rubbed it in too much, with as brutal as that loss was.

Don Khong was good, but it was a little boring, so we knew we had to go deeper and find someplace even smaller and more relaxed. We booked a boat for the next morning and at 8:30am, seven of us got on board and headed south for Don Det. 0 Responses to “Paradise Found”.
