Aug 13, 2015 at 10:43 AM. The Collins-Maxwell FFA constructed its annual ERTL Display at the 2015 Story County Fair. The display theme for this year was soil conservation. The display concentrated on some wind and water conservation methods that farmers adapt to save soil. Some of the practices displayed were buffer strips, CRP - Conservation Reserve Program, contour farming, strip cropping, terraces, no-till and grass waterways. Letter to the Editor.

Four members of the Ballard baseball team were given all-Raccoon River Conference recognition in 2015 after helping the Bombers improve their conference mark from a year ago. Ballard went from 4-10 in the conference last year to 5-9 in 2015. As a result the Bombers put two players on the all-RRC second team and two more made honorable mention.
