Joan Cole Fine Art: Testimonials
http://artistjoancole.blogspot.com/p/testamonials.html
Reflections on Joan Cole’s Art. I collect art that makes me smile, makes me happy to get up in the morning so I can reconnect with it again. "Upper Messerschmidt's in Winter" was such a painting, we- recognized each other! And, of course, when it came home with me, proceeded to have me move another painting, because it saw its special space on the wall and made me see it as well. The pond, tranquil in its shades of blue, centers me and lifts my spirit all in one. Author of Gathering Roses, Thorns and All.

Claudia Post Fine Art. Flashback Fridays/Bucket list trip/St.Maarten NA/Sint Martin FWI/Part Six. On 2/10/2014 2:24:28 PM. While on island and staying at the home of girl friend Ruby Bute, I wanted to give back. I offered to give a talk about being a woman artist in these times. Ruby quickly called a group of local island artists to join together one evening on her patio for time of sharing. Do I continue to experiment, study with others and from books to grow and increase my abilities and awareness?

Joan Cole Fine Art: Artist's Statement
http://artistjoancole.blogspot.com/p/artists-statement.html
What has all of that to do with my art? When I’m not painting outdoors, you can find me in my studio or off taking a class to develop my skills. I am so indebted to all the teachers I’ve been fortunate enough to study with through the years. I never can learn “enough” to capture exactly what I see and feel, but that reaching is part of the joy of painting for me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Deep River, Connecticut, United States. Joan Cole Fine Art: About Me
http://artistjoancole.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html
Joan Cole has been fascinated with color since age five when she stood at the family piano bench, dissolving construction paper in Skippy jars of water, then mixing and remixing the results. Those “watercolors” of her childhood were the beginning of her life-long experimentation in visual arts. At age eight, for the centerpiece of the dining room table, she created a miniature landscape in a gallon mayonnaise jar, complete with mosses, sticks, and the occasional green garden snake or praying mantis.

Joan Cole Fine Art: "Sea & Fog" will be in the upcoming CWA Exhibition
http://artistjoancole.blogspot.com/2013/08/sea-fog-will-be-in-upcoming-cwa.html
Monday, August 5, 2013. Sea and Fog" will be in the upcoming CWA Exhibition. I am so pleased to announce that my painting "Sea and Fog" has been accepted into the 84th Annual National Open Juried Exhibition of the Connecticut Women Artists. It was a very soggy morning when I painted "Sea and Fog" on location at Fish Beach on Monhegan Island, Maine. The island of Manana across the harbor appeared and disappeared eerily in the mists. My husband called it a "Brigadoon" morning! Posted by Joan Cole. Jan Blen...
