The above screen is another of OptimumK's input screens. In this case, the user is specifying how the vehicle will move during the analysis. In addition to interface design, I was also one of the developers of the interface and the solver algorithms.

The 2004 CU FSAE car during testing at IMI Motorsports. I was heavily involved in the testing program, working on engine tuning, suspension setup and data acquisition. This was a small but interesting project. We needed to create a place on the dash of a passenger car for controls for a prototype suspension system. I used a 3D scan of the dash make a plate that would fit into a pocket in the dash and match the curvature. The part was fabricated with a 3D printer.

This above image is of a system designed to control the oil level in an axle. Decreasing the oil level during periods of lower loading results in greater vehicle efficiency. I designed multiple versions of valves and actuators for this system and also conducted much of the initial validation and testing. This is one of my valve designs. It sits at the bottom of a tank inside the axle and is driven by a cable connected to an external actuator. Another view of the same valve.

An active air suspension module. The spring work like a conventional rolling lobe air spring where a rubber bellow rolls along a piston to compresses the internal air. The active system places a rubber sleeve over the piston that can be inflated to change the piston's shape. Inflating the piston causes an increase in the stiffness of the spring.
