A Void Dance: February 2010
http://a-void-dance.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
There is no-thing to a-void. I just love the play on words with this and see our experience of life as a way of avoiding Truth. Tuesday, 9 February 2010. Through the other side - nearly! So, now I am 4 months the other side. Of my 50 th. Birthday and feeling a little better. The sense of imminent. Doom has lifted. I do have moments when for a day or so it comes back, but then that is to be expected. Any sort of distraction will do, TV, computer, poker, drink. The list goes on. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A Void Dance: Transformation
http://a-void-dance.blogspot.com/2010/05/transformation.html
There is no-thing to a-void. I just love the play on words with this and see our experience of life as a way of avoiding Truth. Tuesday, 4 May 2010. I am caught up with the idea that there is something to transform. It appears that whatever we change will reflect on something else, then that needs changing. Puts me in mind of something from a book by Bartholomew. He described changing things being similar to seeing a crease in a curtain, straitening it out only to create another wrinkle.

Seeking God First: NATURE AND NONVIOLENCE
http://maes-seekgodfirst.blogspot.com/2012/05/nature-and-nonviolence.html
Exploring freedom in Christ. Sunday, May 27, 2012. As I read the following article from one of my favorite authors and teachers, Thich Nhat Hanh. By Thich Nhat Hanh. May 22, 2012. You don’t discriminate between the seed and the plant. You see that they ‘inter-are’ with each other, that they are the same thing. Looking deeply at the young cornstalk, you can see the seed of corn, still alive, but with a new appearance. The plant is the continuation of the seed. How can there be lack of harmony? Causing har...

Seeking God First: June 2012
http://maes-seekgodfirst.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Exploring freedom in Christ. Thursday, June 21, 2012. Suffering bothers me.it bothers me a lot. Speaking about suffering and enlightment, in this video. Ken Wilber said, ". It hurts more; but it bothers you less. When we taste the infinite Absolute of consciousness, the world is seen just as it is—radiant, perfect, and whole. The relative, however, does not cease to be. Quite the contrary, the pains and pleasures of our relative lives are intensified to an unimaginable degree. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Seeking God First: March 2012
http://maes-seekgodfirst.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Exploring freedom in Christ. Saturday, March 24, 2012. PUTTING ON THE MIND OF CHRIST. The journey into awareness (or coming into the Light, as the Bible would describe it) is a fascinating, exciting, sometimes confusing, often difficult, frequently discouraging, and many times frightening, journey. Joseph Campbell termed it "The Hero's Journey" because it takes great courage to face ourselves and our inner demons or shadows. I recently read Putting on the Mind of Christ. Living in the Christ Consciousnes...

Seeking God First: November 2012
http://maes-seekgodfirst.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Exploring freedom in Christ. Sunday, November 4, 2012. NOTHING LOST/NOTHNG TO FEAR. It's been a long time since I posted anything, I guess I've been internally processing a lot of things that I've not been able to express. Incomplete as it may be, it helps me to keep my eyes on the big picture.and fills me with hope. So here goes:. Everything on earth is transitory – it’s passing away. But the ca...

Seeking God First: April 2012
http://maes-seekgodfirst.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Exploring freedom in Christ. Sunday, April 15, 2012. I've been trying to understand why we have poverty, hatred, violence, and war in our world when we live on an abundant planet that is capable of providing for all our needs. And I've come to realize that, in order to understand these things, I'm going to have to understand - of all things! Economics. I always thought economics was the most boring subject imaginable, but I'm slowly coming to the realization that what Scripture says is true: the. Is a te...

Seeking God First: November 2011
http://maes-seekgodfirst.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Exploring freedom in Christ. Tuesday, November 22, 2011. HOW TO CREATE A WORLD THAT WORKS FOR ALL. I'm still thinking about the message of Occupy Wall Street; still yearning for a way forward. That will lead to a more peaceful, equitable, and environmentally sustainable world that will benefit and meet the needs of all. I read several thought-provoking posts on this subject at Commonway Praxis. A blog written by Dr. Sharif Abdullah. How do we avoid sinking into despair or cynicism? Considering the clarit...
