Monster Meditation: Smart Phones: Batman's Greatest Gadget
http://monstermeditation.blogspot.com/2010/05/smart-phones-batmans-greatest-gadget.html
Thinking Can Be A Frightening Thing. Friday, May 7, 2010. Smart Phones: Batman's Greatest Gadget. While teaching, I created in my head a new kind of villain-The Grammarian. A cruel fiend that, like the Riddler, would like leave clues behind. However, his clues would all be something that only a true linguist and language commander would ever have a chance to decipher. I pictured Batman screaming in the night, "Why didn't I learn to diagram? Why doesn't Batman have a smartphone? Is Gotham so outdated?

Monster Meditation: October 2009
http://monstermeditation.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thinking Can Be A Frightening Thing. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. I finished reading Mark Buchanan's The Rest of God. People need to read this guy's books. He's about as entertaining and insightful as a writer can be. And with this book in particular, my identity as a Seventh-day Adventist is made all the stronger (though also needs to be taken more seriously). Find any of his books, they're worth your time. Friday, October 9, 2009. I don't know what would make this necessary nuisance any better. Maybe...

http://drrover.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Dr Rover of Sardonikus Rexacon. Dr Rover of Sardonikus Rexacon is proud to bring you this blog in full technicolor dreamscape. I am a veteran of the psychic wars, and here are my tales. Saturday, May 23, 2009. The origins of Dr. Rover…a tale in multiple entries…. Throbbing, the pain reached every part of my body. As I lay, I kept thinking about how I was going to have to embrace it and live with it and find a balance. When it was good and dark, I got up to take a piss. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

radiant shreds: May 2010
http://radiantshreds.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Teacher by profession, writer by avocation. Monday, May 10, 2010. No excuses. I thought it had been maybe a month since I posted, but it's more like a month and a half, and the longer it goes, the balkier I get. I get balky. I don't know why, but it happens too frequently- I start to feel overexposed, start to regret ever opening my mouth, both metaphorically and otherwise. Here's Merriam-Webster on balk. So I don't know exactly why the word balk. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

radiant shreds: Racism Is Alive and Well in the Heartland
http://radiantshreds.blogspot.com/2010/06/racism-is-alive-and-well-in-heartland.html
Teacher by profession, writer by avocation. Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Racism Is Alive and Well in the Heartland. Well, they did it. The town of Fremont, Nebraska, population just over 25K, passed the Arizona-esque anti-immigrant ordinance. Making it illegal to hire or rent to "illegal aliens." Yes, I prefer the term undocumented. I'm one of those people who find it somewhat unsavory to call another human being illegal. When I think about the "illegal" people I know, I don't think of them as lawbreakers, an...

http://radiantshreds.blogspot.com/2010/06/ireland-day-1.html
Teacher by profession, writer by avocation. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Ireland, Day 1? So yesterday was a weird blur of wandering and napping. Ventured out from the hostel a few times but mental fog was so acute that a block away I'd start to think I was lost or about to be. I finally have a good wifi signal. OK, tour some ruins today. Will repeort back then. Labels: brats on planes. July 1, 2010 at 12:49 PM. Missed you today at Field Club parade.where do I see pictures of you? July 3, 2010 at 11:27 AM.
