Abilene Climbers: November 2010
http://abileneclimbers.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 11, 2010. Great Weekend Part 1: Adopt-A-Crag. The Adopt-A-Crag went great. Folks from Go-to-Willies, Solid Rock, ACU Outdoor Club, Keep Brownwood Beautiful, and of course Rock Addiction showed up to put some work in and do some good climbing. Ben hauled off a whole truck-bed full of trash collected from the lakeside. We cleared out the trails, and then we climbed. Look forward to a "Part 2" posting from that weekend.a trip to Fredricksburg and some Erock bouldering. Stay tuned.

Monday, March 21, 2011. Lake Brownwood Climbing Guidebook. The guide includes stories from several folks who have contributed to the development of climbing at the Lake. I’m thankful for the time that each of them put into reflecting on their experiences, as well our memories shared at the Lake. This guidebook is a first-draft, and I welcome all feedback. Please use it wisely, and climb at your own risk. I hope to see you out there. To download, click the link below (will redirect you to my google docs):.

Abilene Climbers: Still Training
http://abileneclimbers.blogspot.com/2010/08/still-training.html
Saturday, August 21, 2010. Haven't touched rock in 3 weeks or so. As I read on another blog, in the summer the heat is often the greatest crux facing climbers. Such has been the case here in Abilene. But I've been consistently climbing on the wall and hitting the hangboard. I think i climbed 4 times on the wall this week, and did two hangboard workouts. John Long, watch out. http://abileneclimbers.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 27, 2010. Well I am a married man now. Lindsey and I are settling into our new home and starting life together. I'm so lucky to marry her- and she let me hang my hangboard in the kitchen! So the training is going strong. I just finished two good reads I thought I would share with you. The first is Climb! The History of Rock Climbing in Colorado. By Jeff Achey, Dudley Chelton and Bob Godfrey. I picked up Climb! My second read was Stone Crusade: A Historical Guide to Bouldering in America.

Wednesday, December 30, 2009. My computer crashed in the middle of the semester, which has made posting difficult. But i finally have another and here's some exciting news to kick off posting again. I plan to follow up the Hueco Day 1 post, with recaps of the other days. But first news of today's events are in order. Ben and I spent the day clearing cactus, brush and bolting anchors for the climb that has gone by several names: Angel Flake/Duke's Dome/Lake Flake/Ankle. Ben and I finished the day off with...
