Inspiring through adventures and explorations. Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Mt Rainier- Climbing For Kids. August 20th, my 40th birthday I headed down to Ashford, Washington for my three day climb of the Disappointment Cleaver route with Climbing For Kids. We continued to zig zag up the summit and at 6:45 we were all at the crater rim. Myself and Jason with guide Kelly Ryan went a little higher to the true summit(14410 feet) to sign the register and take a few pictures. Simply amazing.

Adventures of the Family Smith. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. I've been working a lot lately. What is interesting to me is that the older Claire gets, the more I enjoy her, the more difficult it is to leave her. That's not to say I'm not grateful/thankful for the work its just hard to leave Claire. For her part, Claire does great. We are very routined people and Claire seems to fall into step well with routine. This is her pensive face. She loves to put everything her mouth. Posted by Josh and Jen. Claire is m...

Climbing Kilimanjaro
Wednesday, September 14, 2011. The view from the top. After walking up hill for 5 days it was a breeze coming down. Abraham and I made it back to Gilman’s Point in an hour, and we made it down from Gilman’s point in another hour. The adrenaline was back and I was having less trouble getting my breath. The trip up took more than 5 hours but I made it down in about an hour. At one point I was nearly running down the side of the mountain. I wanted to keep going. Once we reached Mandara, I washed up quickly ...

2018 Hustle up the Hancock. I walk to work. I walk around my beautiful city. I’m lucky enough to have a Fitbit that tells me I average 14,000-15,000 steps daily. Every day. I also think about the organizations that helped me stay on this planet – and help me and others stay here a little more comfortably, and a little longer. The Respiratory Health Association and so many other organizations – this is always one of my opportunities to pay some of that back – or forward. To see my Hustle page or pledge me:.
