My immediate future | Clowns Live Forever
https://clownsliveforever.wordpress.com/2010/04/30/my-immediate-future
A New Clown Learning some Old Tricks. I didn’t get in to UCBerkeley. I have to say, I’m really disappointed – I really thought I’d make it. No plans for the future yet, but plenty of time to make them. Tomorrow I have plans to dance a lot, then on Sunday I’ll buckle down and look at my options for the immediate future. Here’s hoping for a great opportunity to come my way! One Response to “My immediate future”. Cause it’s all possible! August 8, 2010 at 6:32 pm. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

A New Clown Learning some Old Tricks. I’m back in San Francisco. Tuesday morning my friend Dian took me to a ballet class she’s been attending – and later this week I’ll be joining her boyfriend Devin at a hip-hop class. On Friday I’m moving in with my friend Judy, who is so generous and is letting me stay in her empty room while I find a more permanent place. Wandering around on Tuesday, I stumbled across a Thai Buddhist temple! My plans for the next few weeks are:. 1 Enjoy being in SF. I’m writin...
Oh boy oh boy oh boy! | Clowns Live Forever

A New Clown Learning some Old Tricks. Oh boy oh boy oh boy! It has been SO great to be back! I want to choreograph a dance I have in my head, and I have the opportunity to do that at a small local theatre that wants to give me free rehearsal space and a performance slot. I want to take dance classes, and I was just accepted into the work exchange program at one of my favourite dance companies, so I get to take classes for free (I’ll work in their front office three hours a week). Cognitive Science | Clowns Live Forever
https://clownsliveforever.wordpress.com/2010/03/28/cognitive-science
A New Clown Learning some Old Tricks. People often ask me what I’m going to study when I go back to school in the fall. I say I’m going to study cognitive science, a statement which is always met with an enthusiastic “huh? It turns out that most people have no idea what cognitive science is, so I feel I owe the world an explanation. To me, it’s a mix of everything I find completely fascinating and I can hardly wait to start studying it. No Responses to “Cognitive Science”. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
The Bay Area is the Yay Area! | Clowns Live Forever
https://clownsliveforever.wordpress.com/2010/04/15/the-bay-area-is-the-yay-area
A New Clown Learning some Old Tricks. The Bay Area is the Yay Area! On Monday I spent the morning meeting some chickens that my friend has, and talking about meditation. So that was basically a two-person, two-chicken party. Then later that day I spent 3 hours in the Library at Berkeley, researching Cognitive Science… it’s one of the most exquisitely beautiful libraries I’ve ever seen – I’m excited to spend more time there! Here’s a picture of me enjoying the beach. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Get every ...

Way-gook-in' it up in Korea!: June 2009
http://bethanyinkorea.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Monday, June 29, 2009. The beginning of the end. I will miss other things about Korea too - the culture, the food, the mountains (! Question. How can I possibly sum up my year here in Korea in a "short" answer? I don't even know what I truly think of my time here. Obviously there were many good experiences, and many difficult experiences. But overall, what do I think? Anyway, that is a bit of what I am trying to get a grip on these days.
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea!: November 2008
http://bethanyinkorea.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Sunday, November 30, 2008. Friday morning I got up at 6am and called my grandparents' house - my dad's side of the family was all gathered there and were starting to enter the food coma from Thanksgiving dinner! I got to talk to everyone, and it made me really wish I could be there. But it was great to hear from everyone! I definitely was tearing up a bit. I was definitely getting into it and was really proud of them! I told him that in the ...
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea!: Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye!

Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Thursday, July 16, 2009. I have said goodbye to all but 5 of my classes. It's interesting to see which students are sad that I am leaving, which are happy, and which just don't care! One first grade (sophomore) student was sooo sad as he was leaving and I didn't realize that he liked me so much! Poor thing. :-( I am writing my email address on the board, so I hope the students I was closer to will write me! But hopefully we will stay in touch.
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea!: December 2008
http://bethanyinkorea.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Friday, December 26, 2008. I'll be away for a couple weeks. I'm heading to Gwangju today for a Christmas party with a few other ETAs, then up to Seoul to meet Ike, and then we head to CHINA! I'll be back in contact on January 10th, so everyone stay safe and healthy please! But we all survived. :-) That evening I went to the movies with my host family "to celebrate Christmas". I get a kick out of the way they celebrate it! I also unfortunatel...

Justin and Aleza Circumvent the Globe. Day 30: Melide - Pedrouzo (36 km) Almost there! I am in a cafe in Pedrouzo the morning of Dec 4th getting ready to head for Santiago! Yesterday was our longest day yet. We felt surprisingly untired and ready to keep walking - but we stopped anywas. Our alburgure last night was full to the brim - 18 people- which was odd because we´d been pretty much alone the last two nights. We met back up with a few old friends which was very nice. The scenery the whole day was eu...
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea!: Korean Table Manners

Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Friday, July 17, 2009. Another cultural note that I don't want to forget in the years to come! This means you touch other food with the same chopsticks that go in your mouth! Double dipping to the max! D Despite that this might be gross to some of you, I think it really creates a nice communal atmosphere. I really enjoy the group eating culture here in Korea! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://justinandalezainthailand.blogspot.com/2008/12/so-this-is-what-it-sounds-like-when.html
Justin and Aleza Circumvent the Globe. So This is what it sounds like when doves cry. Just finished our porridge and tea at my aunts house and are readying ourselves to go down to the city (Dublin). We spent Thursday and Friday night in Galway and had an excellent time. We stayed at Kinlay House Hostel. Right near Eyre (Air) Square. It was a really nice hostel although a bit more than we wanted to spend (14 euros a bed). And interesting art to view. Great find. Friday we got roommates! The pub was pretty...
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea!: October 2008
http://bethanyinkorea.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Friday, October 31, 2008. This has been probably one of the most interesting Halloween's ever! Classes went pretty well today, more of the elections. I had one student come up to me and say "Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat" hahah! It was horribly horribly cold in school today. They still haven't turned on the heat and for some reason all the windows were open! It was quite the ordeal for them. The pumpkin was...
