CNC Retrofits by CNC Design and Electronics. Here is a huge Monarch Vertical Turning lathe that is C axis equipped! This machine has a live 15hp spindle and a 50hp spindle bed. The bed is nine feet in diameter. This all three axes of the lathe are controlled by a CENTROID T-400 CNC control. X, Z and C. The C axis provides programmable control over positioning of the spindle in degrees. The spindle table weighs 5 TONS and has a maximum speed of 3000 rpm. The block of steel you see here weighs 15,000 lbs!
