On the road (again). Observations, updates and comments on my exploits on two wheels and two feet. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Fun in the Highlands. Well after what seems like a lifetime of training we finally made it to the start line in Nairn on Saturday. All that mattered now was the 110 miles of running, biking and kayaking. But we'd trained. On the road (again). Observations, updates and comments on my exploits on two wheels and two feet. Thursday, September 18, 2014. Not the Best of Starts. Today was meant to be the first day of proper training for a charity race I've signed up for. It's a 100 mile from Essex to Peterborough in aid of the Pink Ribbon Foundation (for those curious folk amongst you, click on my justgiving button on the right to find out more - and please donate). On the road (again). Observations, updates and comments on my exploits on two wheels and two feet. Monday, September 22, 2014. Normal service is resumed! Was committed to going out on Sunday - broken toe or not! And so arranged a 70 mile session with Andy Lowry (who is also doing the Pink ribbon ride) and to meet up with the usual Sunday morning crew. Ended up being a good ride. It was a bit slow overall but the hills and wind didn't help much. If you want to check out the route you can see it here.
