The Rector's Letter - August 2016. The Churches of St Lawrence,. All Saints, Little Bookham. Do you love being in the garden? The kiss of the sun for pardon,. The song of the birds for mirth,-. One is nearer God's heart in a garden. Than anywhere else on earth. The summer is here and our gardens are looking beautiful. Do you love being in a garden? In many Bible stories, gardens make regular appearances as settings for God-heart-touched events. Jesus sometimes described God as a gardener:. At the place w...

http://www.stmartinsdorking.org/about-the-churches
There has been a church on the site of the present church of St. Martin since the early 11th century and the building you see today with its 210-ft spire was completed in 1877. We are very fortunate in having support from the Friends of St Martin's. In helping us maintain this fine Victorian building. St Martin’s has a daughter church of St. Mary the Virgin at Pixham (see http:/ www.pixhamresidents.org/Home/st-marys-church. The Friends of St Martins. Eternal God and Father.
