Performed briefly in a back garden at Trench Lane. 1145 I was driving to airport when Nigel Hudson called to tell me that Maggie Tucker has got, by her description, either a Waxwing or Cedar Waxwing in her back garden! I guess this is the same bird that was seen at Rose Hill 17 days ago. The only other bird of interest seen today was the long staying sub-adult COMMON CRANE. On Annet. Monday, 16 June 2014. Rustic Bunting ringed at Porth Hellick. What a shock when Jim pulled this female Rustic Bunting. Out of the nets at Porth Hellick! The only other Rustic Bunting that I've observed outside the Oct/Nov period was a cracking male found by Paul Stancliffe at Carn Friars in March. I was busy watching a summer plumage Pied-billed Grebe on Porth Hellick when I got the shout. The bottom pic was taken by Robin Mawer. Coming in to feed one of it's young. Some fighting goin on in town. I'm sur...

This female Blue-headed Wagtail. Robin Mawer ...

Friday, 18 July 2014. Tell LEGO to Dump Shell. TELL LEGO TO DUMP SHELL. At the beginning of July I recieved this letter from Greenpeace. PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION. Shell wants permission to drill for oil in the Arctic. It’s incredibly risky and any spill would be impossible to clear up. The spilt oil would be trapped in the icy waters, destroying the food supply of polar bears, narwhals and walruses. Lego are putting Shell logos on millions of toys. It’s our kids who’ll pay the price if we don...By buildi...
