Fresh Eats at Home. Chicken Meatball Sub with Gobs of Fresh Mozzarella. June 29, 2010. Before we go too far, let me just say that when my husband first tasted this dish, he exclaimed: “Oh my gosh, this is good.” And he’s right. It was Sunday night. We’d just finished a relaxing, refreshing week off work, and were looking for a comforting meal to ease us back into the real […]. Read the full article →. A Cake Post: Double Chocolate Cake for T. The Chesapeake Explorer: So... the problem is not ADHD
http://chesapeakeexplorer.blogspot.com/2015/02/so-problem-is-not-adhd.html
Ex-Urban parenting adventures in Baltimore County. Thursday, February 26, 2015. So the problem is not ADHD. We have had our little Hamslice on medication for more than two weeks and it has not been effective. His teachers have actually said that his behavior is worse ON the medication than au naturale. Here's what it looks like:. Hamslice takes a pill. 20 minutes later he is lying on the floor with overwhelming fatigue. He is ornery all day because the fatigue doesn't ease up until the med wears off.

GIVING NOTICE NOW: May 2015
http://givingnoticenow.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
The observations and writings of Jennifer Campaniolo. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Why 'While We're Young' Annoyed Me. Mike and I went on a Tuesday date night this week. He's recently completed his masters degree and is trying to reconcile himself with the fact that he now has something called "free time." It hasn't quite hit him yet, and he has to fight the impulse to worry about homework that he no longer has to do. We had pizza and beer at Otto and then went to see the Noah Baumbach movie While We're Young.

GIVING NOTICE NOW: The kernel of sadness in every happy moment
http://givingnoticenow.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-kernel-of-sadness-in-every-happy.html
The observations and writings of Jennifer Campaniolo. Sunday, May 10, 2015. The kernel of sadness in every happy moment. In The Trauma of Everyday Life. Mark Epstein, MD, writes,. I read this passage over a few times. It perfectly encapsulates how I feel most of the time. Even in good moments, peaceful moments, those oh-so-rare optimal moments, there is the fear of loss and what will happen when the good feeling passes- because it always does. In happiness there is also fear and dread. How will I cope?

GIVING NOTICE NOW: February 2013
http://givingnoticenow.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
The observations and writings of Jennifer Campaniolo. Thursday, February 14, 2013. Me with my first Valentine, my dad. I like Valentine's Day. I don't care about the naysayers, the scoffers, the "let's-stick-it-to-Valentine's-Day-by-reading-our-essays-about-bad-breakups" people. Hey, not everyone gets to be feted on other made-up holidays, like Mother's Day or Secretary's Day, but I'm not complaining about that. Poster I was giving away from the latest issue of Dynamite! I kept that Valentine hidden away...

This image can be found here: https:/ www.flickr.com/photos/sis/98171915/. What do women want on Valentine's Day? We want to feel special, cherished, appreciated, loved, and for some of us, a little indulged even. Yes, we want a gift but not any old gift you picked up on your way home from work at 7PM on Valentine's Day night. We want the effort. For example, my husband Mike like...

The observations and writings of Jennifer Campaniolo. Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Coming back to the present moment. I recently decided to give mindfulness another try. GIVING NOTICE NOW: March 2013
http://givingnoticenow.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
The observations and writings of Jennifer Campaniolo. Monday, March 18, 2013. Carmelita sort of, kind of listening to me. I have a bad dog. I don't mean she's an aspiring Cujo. She's actually a very sweet pup. But she doesn't interact well with others, in particular the ones we'd most like her to be on her best behavior around- namely small children and other dogs. It's all our fault, really. As my husband likes to put it. Her usual approach when she feels threatened. Awkward.), well I can't say....Of co...
