Love From Development: August 2010
http://lovefromdevelopment.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 3, 2010. A former colleague of mine recently asked me some questions based on my experience running a team. I thought the answers might be useful for somebody else so I'm posting here. What are some of the key pitfalls that you have learned from creating original IP as part of a large company? Don’t scale the team too fast, keep the team as small as possible in the early stages to give yourself time to really figure out the foundation of the concept. The scope of original IP can get so ou...

http://lovefromdevelopment.blogspot.com/2010/11/vga-awards-my-2-cents.html
Thursday, November 18, 2010. VGA Awards - my 2 cents. So Spike TV announced their nominations for this years VGA awards. The VGA Awards are growing in pop culture prominence and its great to see a televised event that gives recognition to the people who create videogames. I think that the VGA's can play an important role in helping promote our medium as an important and valuable cultural force. But I find the categories a bit of a mixed bag. Why do we give an award for a game that isn't even out yet?
