Wee bit about me. The mad ramblings of a Colorado Pagan. Asymp; 2 Comments. As some of you may know I used to work at a local hospice and still volunteer there. The majority of the time you interact with patients they are dying in their old age after a long life. Sometimes, however, this is not the case. Some patients end up haunting your thoughts long after they have died. Lately one patient in particular is on my mind. And if you do have any personal experiences like this, how did you deal with it?

Yeats indicated in a note that the poem was "an attempt to reconstruct an old song from three lines imperfectly remembered by an old peasant woman in the village of Ballisodare, Sligo, who often sang them to herself."
