Blessings from the Woods. Thursday, June 25, 2009. What Should I Blog About Today? Oh Me, Oh My, What Should I Blog About Today? Should I blog about the crane at the pond? Or the goldfinch at the spring, contemplating a cold drink? Or maybe about some of the pretty blooms in my yard? Like my lovely sunset orange rose, that I just planted this spring? Or the beautiful, tropical hibiscus, that is putting on a show now? Of course, their Nana loves to see pictures of them! Or should I blog about the weather?

Blessings from the Woods. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. The Refugee Camp Princess- Lives on at Story House! Guess who this is? Yes, it's me at age of 16, wearing my dancing clothes and shoes! Dancing was my life back in the good old, nifty fifties! Dancing helped me forget that just a couple of years before, I had been living in a refugee camp, as a DP girl of World War II. A few days ago I received an email from Richard Loller of Story House, which said- -. Http:/ www.storyhouse.org/. Before I make this ...

And she is my youngest granddaughter. Just two weeks ago, when she was here visiting me, she was a little girl of nine, and today she is a big girl of ten! My, how time trots on by, and before I'll know it, she'll be off to college, like her older cousin Nichole. But I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. And here is Mckenzie.

http://renieburghardtsworld.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Blessings from the Woods. Monday, February 1, 2010. January has been a rough month around here. Cold and snowy and looong! I posted these pictures on Facebook, and thought I would put them up here as well. The picture above is of my snowy front yard. We had 7 inches of snow on 1-28-2010! The tracks were left by my little wire hair, Midgie. And although some of it has melted, there is still a lot of snow out there! Greg will be clearing my driveway today. He is such a blessing to me! Blessings from the Woods. Tuesday, November 25, 2008. My Mother's Cat- A Story on my Birthday. Did you love her a lot? I would often ask Paprika, as we snuggled on my bed. He would answer, rubbing my chin with his pink nose. Do you miss her? His large, yellow eyes gazed at me with a sad expression. Paprika would respond, climbing on my chest and purring. Warplanes buzzed, tanks rumbled, and bombs whistled and exploded over our heads all night while I held on to Paprika, and my grandmother held on to the ...
