The Gig House is in the centre of Suffolk, so both the famous coast with Aldeburgh and Southwold and the half-timbered wool villages of Lavenham and Long Melford are within easy reach. Ipswich is 11 miles and Bury St Edmunds 16. The house and gardens are hardly altered from their medieval roots and visitors can walk round 29 acres of parkland. There are historic houses to visit (see Invitationtoview.co.uk. Fine restaurants and antique shops a short drive away plus long walks for the energetic.

Columbine Hall has been the home of Hew Stevenson and Leslie Geddes-Brown since 1993. They have restored the house, gardens and grounds, and have received great critical acclaim for their efforts. Both Leslie and Hew have worked in magazines and newspapers and so Columbine Hall has had its share of celeb status.
