Glimpse My World: ...Reef Sharks
http://glimpsejennysworld.blogspot.com/2008/10/reef-sharks.html
Wednesday, October 22, 2008. GREAT (Barrier Reef) Day! This was what I had been waiting for all trip. A chance to swim among the largest living organism on the planet! Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best. We woke up to gray skies and a bit of drizzle. But it wasn't a big deal; we boarded our huge Ocean Spirit cruise vessel anyway and got underway. The coral was beautiful, so many different colors: electric blue, vivid organes, red and purples. Just absolutely beautiful! Oh except for those 'small,...

“soo…how’s india?” | Ruckin' and rollin' through India

Ruckin' and rollin' through India. On the hunt for women's rugby across the subcontinent. 8220;soo…how’s india? December 1, 2011. How is it December? As a born and bred new englander, i'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea of sunshine and sand in the winter time. ayrel and aaron are seen here in goa. How did this happen and where did it come from and how to. Did December creep up like this? And — the most pressing question. Am I going to bake Christmas cookies with no oven? I’ve been work...

Glimpse My World: July 2008
http://glimpsejennysworld.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 20, 2008. And the Pilgrimage begins! As I reached the main terminal of the Abu Dhabi airport I found myself in what looked like a chamber in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory: the terminal was round, in the center of the circle a massive pillar erupted and branched out to form a dome for a roof, which happened to be bedecked in green and purple sparkling tiles in Mosaic fashion. Very strange. So Friday we set off into the city. First stop: Darling Harbor! It was a beautiful day with crystal cl...

Glimpse My World: Hiking in the Blue Mountains
http://glimpsejennysworld.blogspot.com/2009/02/hiking-in-blue-mountains.html
Thursday, February 26, 2009. Hiking in the Blue Mountains. I am so glad we waited! The weather was absolutely perfect! All of my memories of Australia are colored blue: blue is the sky that looks so close you could touch it; blue is the ocean that you can see for miles and miles off the Sydney shore; blue are the mountains, as I discovered on this trip. When we pulled up to our 'B&B' all of our jaws dropped.the place was no simple B&B - the Silvermere guesthouse was a Mediteranian-inspired mansion! As be...

Glimpse My World: Great Ocean Road Trippin
http://glimpsejennysworld.blogspot.com/2008/11/great-ocean-road-trippin.html
Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Great Ocean Road Trippin. Well it has been a busy few weeks since we got back from Cairns which is why I have been neglecting my blogspot. School was winding down and exams loomed. However, somewhere in between my rigorous study sessions. and my demanding internship. I managed to squeeze in another trip! I had done some research prior to the trip and found out that Adelaide rents bikes for free! Our scenic 'cruise' ended up being a 40km bike hike! In 37 degree weather! Despit...

Glimpse My World: September 2008
http://glimpsejennysworld.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 1, 2008. I just realized that I have not yet posted about my actual living situation in Australia. So allow me to introduce. Then there are India, 11, and Mia, 8. Both are very cute girls and share physical resemblances, but they have very different personalities: India is quiet and reserved most of the time. Mia, on the other hand, is a little whipper-snapper. Anyway, gotta go. It's Gringos (kind of burrito) tonight! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Jan 9, 2012.

Glimpse My World: Great Ocean Road Trippin... Part 2
http://glimpsejennysworld.blogspot.com/2008/11/great-ocean-road-trippin-part-2.html
Sunday, November 9, 2008. Great Ocean Road Trippin. Part 2. Sean and I met our Great Ocean Road Tour group "Groovy Grape" at 7 am outside of our hostel in Adelaide. This tour was much smaller than our spring break tour. Our vehicle for the trip was only a 20 seater van, and accordingly only 18 other backpackers on the tour with us. Our tour guide was friendly enough, a bit eccentric perhaps. But our fellow backpackers were absolutely amazing! It couldn't really be classified a 'bush walk' as all we reall...

Glimpse My World: August 2008
http://glimpsejennysworld.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Home of the Joker. I saw The Dark Knight the other night. It was absolutely amazing. The movie is great. No denying that. But it is absolutely incredible when you see it on the world's biggest IMAX screen. What a great night! Saturday, August 23, 2008. But we had come with one destination in mind: Manly Beach. So an absolutely beautiful, 20 minute ferry-ride later, we arrived at the Manly Beach wharf. Glacier-water like. No swimming yet. Sean is in the water. Apparently he...
