Confederate In Blue: A Quiet Living History
http://confederateinblue.blogspot.com/2014/07/a-quiet-living-history.html
A Civil War Re-enacting site, based around my experiences with the 1st Tennessee, Company B and the Independent Guard Battalion. Sunday, July 27, 2014. A Quiet Living History. July 26-27, 2014. It seems to every event I attend, I forget one item of importance. I forgot my skillet at Sharon Woods, so had to borrow a skillet to fry my food. This weekend—I forgot my food. It advertised a level of stupidity of that group—the comment was highly offensive. Evening came with the threat of thunderstorms and ligh...
Confederate In Blue: Choking in Chaplin Hills
http://confederateinblue.blogspot.com/2014/10/choking-in-chaplin-hills-152nd.html

Choking in Chaplin Hills. 152nd Anniversary, Battle of Perryville. October 4-5, 2014. I was able to keep warm in my Army sleeping bag despite the cold night, but morning came with the sounds of a drum beating away beside our camp. We never found out who was responsible for the drum, because even Confederate headquarters was upset with the disturbance.
Confederate In Blue: The Season Begins
http://confederateinblue.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-season-begins.html
A Civil War Re-enacting site, based around my experiences with the 1st Tennessee, Company B and the Independent Guard Battalion. Sunday, April 26, 2015. Tawawa Park, Sidney, Ohio. April 25, 2015. Cpl Silvers and I were the ranking NCOs on site at the time, but we had GPS coordinates set by Capt Sharp, so tracked the Google Maps marker like a witching rod to the right spot and staked our tents. After a break from the drilling, Capt Sharp broke us into two platoons and limited us to five rounds per man, an...

http://confederateinblue.blogspot.com/2014/08/unending-upon-day.html
A Civil War Re-enacting site, based around my experiences with the 1st Tennessee, Company B and the Independent Guard Battalion. Monday, August 11, 2014. Unending upon the Day. August 9-10, 2014. It was dark by the time my shebang was up, and I still had a pile of gear and blankets to sort through, but I managed to throw together a makeshift sleeping area. Finally, the left gun fired—we wasted no time and hit the ground. Shortly after, the next gun, and finally the last. We resurrected, returned to the w...

The Battle in Winter. 150th Battle for Olustee. February 15-16, 2014. All seemed good. We made good time, leaving Thursday to take our time down and possibly enjoy some of the sights on the way. Trouble with snow ahead. Trish said, “Look at the bright side, at least we haven't had to wait as long as those in front of us.”. The park was away from ever...
