2012年由國立臺灣科學教育館首次舉辦 科普論壇 ，以 你今天科學了沒-談科學普及的途徑與轉型 為題，構築科普教育工作者分享與學習的平台。 2014年由國立科學工藝博物館以 科普百匯 科普推廣的跨域與整合 為主題，討論在數位時代，如何提供民眾更便利、及時與豐富的科學學習資源，認為科普推廣的跨域與整合是國內科普推廣必要的發展方向。 循此，2015 科普論壇的主題將初步訂為 科普與生活 科學普及的切身性與創意性。 值得一提的是，本次科普論壇有兩個亮點，首先，是特別配合教育部政策，推廣 3D 列印行動實驗車，培養年輕的學生發揮巧思與創意成為新時代的創客，本論壇特邀請教育部的 3D 列印行動實驗車到館參展，並邀集民間創客 (Maker) 團體到館分享最新的創客資訊及其在科普上可行的應用。 2015 科普論壇將邀請國內科普教育的專家進行專題演講，並邀請國內對於科普推廣有興趣之教師、學生、博物館從業人員、科教學者、 NGO 團體及公民與會，以共同商討如何落實科普在生活中所扮演的角色。
