Monkeys Eat Bananas: December 2006
http://monkeyseatbananashome.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 31, 2006. 2006 Summary for Christmas Card. Surprisingly, life is still a wild roller coaster ride after raising kids. The last few years, we had 4 weddings, and of course what follows that is grandchildren. This year we have had 3 born! And in April we will have another, which will make 4 within one year - a total of 5. What a blessing that is! And somehow we just don't get as much done in a day as we used to. Both of us are serving in the church as the ward Young Single Adult advisory c...

Monkeys Eat Bananas: February 2007
http://monkeyseatbananashome.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 25, 2007. Eat your heart out - we went to the beach! This was one of those tough Grandma jobs. Michael saw an episode of. Curious George at the beach. When I arrived in FL, he greeted me with, 'We go to beach! What else could I do? It's only 40 minutes away and the weather was sunny and 78 degrees. What's Kathrine doing in the picture? Well, we packed her in the car and took her along. What a great place to lie down after a month on the couch! What a great sandbox! Trip to Florida - Brrr.

Monkeys Eat Bananas: April 2007
http://monkeyseatbananashome.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 22, 2007. Another Chance At Life. Well the Corolla sold. $150. It was time for it to go, but I did not what to junk it. So, I put an ad in Craigslist. For $250. I had a number of responses, but a guy from a county that does not require inspection came to see the car yesterday. I let him drive it and when he got back he had a simile on his face and said "You've got a deal! Same day, Jared and Reva got a new car, (new for them). No less cars in the drive way. Monkeys Eat Bananas: July 2007
http://monkeyseatbananashome.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 23, 2007. For all 8 years we've lived here I've wanted to go to Dalonega, and a 32nd wedding anniversary was a good excuse to do it! Guess who joined in? We wandered west to Amicolola Falls State Park. Our destination was the lodge at the top of the mountain, as you can see in the picture. We ate an all you can eat prime rib dinner, with this amazing view. And here is the well fed couple. We walked it off on the trail to the middle of the falls. Here we are:. Another good memory made. Every ...

Monkeys Eat Bananas: October 2006
http://monkeyseatbananashome.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 28, 2006. Hey, I DO have a life! We have had 2 grandbabies born this year - Elisabeth Mae born in Utah in May, daughter of Sarah and Alex - and a few weeks ago Solei was born to Jared and Reva. And she was born in Brazil! Guess where grandma got to travel to? Here I am in front of the Campinas Brazil temple. Lovely place inside and out! It was interesting to be the only English speakers. The doctor says she is 'perfect'. Grandma thinks so too. Posted by Mom and Dad at 6:36 AM. Genealogy...

Monkeys Eat Bananas: June 2007
http://monkeyseatbananashome.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 29, 2007. Deja Vu - 1978. I've been scanning old slides lately. Here are a few from 1978-9. You may want to look at them backwards. Our girl growing bigger. Our big back yard. Trip to see grandparents. A month after the birth. Our new home - a 10' x 50' trailer - air conditioned! All dolled up for a photo. First kiss. (Quite embarrassing later! Posted by Mom and Dad at 6:23 PM. We come to visit and he hardly notices us. This may make our lives different too. No wonder they sold it! Two weeks...

Monkeys Eat Bananas: November 2006
http://monkeyseatbananashome.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 26, 2006. This Thanksgiving Aaron, Kathrine and Michael came to visit. 'Papa' was in the middle of laying flooring when Michael arrived, so of course he helped. Did you know that flooring boards are just like blocks? He lined them up, knocked them close with a hammer, fetched tools, threw away trash, and swept up. Quite precocious for age 2. Kathrine and I cooked the meal and got out the best dishes. Yum! Jon helped Aaron put 2 new axle's and 1 new alternator on his car. Aaron and Kathri...

Monkeys Eat Bananas: May 2007
http://monkeyseatbananashome.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 19, 2007. We emptied all the photos out of Jon's camera and this is what we found! A darling little Isaac sleeping. And looking some more. This week we had a great time in Savannah GA. Can you just feel the atmosphere of the place in this photo? This Lutheran church has a smaller version of the Christus statute in SLC. You can see it from the park. We stayed at the Riverfront Hyatt Regency. Because we were late we were upgraded to a riverfront room! Huge container ships floated past. So, ov...

Monkeys Eat Bananas: August 2007
http://monkeyseatbananashome.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 19, 2007. Does it feel good? We've changed our philosophy from 'Someone might need this,' to 'Do I need this in the next 6 years? And we are throwing away, giving away, and selling. The biggest boost was when our amazing son-in-law Alex came to visit. He attacked our attic and carried heavy boxes down 3 stories. The delicious sight of bare wood floors is catchy and we are finishing what he started. It does feel good! This new closet is where we plan to fit. And there is still more. Here ar...
