Miss Nesbit's Philosophies. I’ve Been Doubley Delusional. April 6, 2011 at 11:49 am ( Class Post. Excuse me a moment, I have to do something. I’ll admit, I’m feeling mighty foolish at the moment, especially after the reading we did for this week. A few weeks ago. I talked about how I was delusional to the fact that I could use my network of friends (and others could do the same) to influence them and other networks to overcome clicktivism and be more service-oriented. In fact, I am (was? He admits that i...

2010 Warren College Freshman Orientation Blog: The Warren College Honors Program!
http://warrenols.blogspot.com/2010/09/warren-college-honors-program.html
Friday, September 10, 2010. The Warren College Honors Program! I am a transfer orientation leader, but that does not mean that I can't tell you about one of my favorite parts of Warren College-The Warren College Honors Program. Many of your high schools probably had honors classes, but the Honors Program at Warren is very different. If you don't fall into this group, then you can qualify for Honors during winter quarter, as long as you take 12 graded units and earn a GPA of 3.7 of higher here at UCSD.

2010 Warren College Freshman Orientation Blog: May 2010
http://warrenols.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 14, 2010. I know that for some of you, coming to college in the fall will be a piece of cake. Once your family says their last goodbyes and drives away into the distance, you’re on your own. Voila! No more curfew, no more restrictions (to a reasonable extent) and FUN FUN FUN. You’re welcomed into the new environment, full of roommates, suitemates, dining hall food, shared living space, and friendships waiting to be formed. Nothing sounds like more fun, right? Will I like the college food?

2010 Warren College Freshman Orientation Blog: Roommates 101
http://warrenols.blogspot.com/2010/09/roommates-101.html
Friday, September 10, 2010. It’d be nice if everyone got along. Now, I will explain these tips to you through numbers in a well-organized number format. Cool. 1) Set guidelines and a living contract. Surprises later. To get you started, go over acceptable noise levels at times of day, Food Sharing Policies, Visitor Policies amongst your suite, Cleaning Routines, and all that good ol’ nice stuff. 2) Keep in mind of future arrangements. 3) Socialize with each other. This brings us to our next point). But i...

The social life of ideas: May 2011
http://sociallifeofideas.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
The social life of ideas. This blog explores how ideas are generated, developed and implemented through networks. Rarely are great ideas the product of isolated thinking. Or even the product of collaborative thinking. The networks of people around us - and the networks of people around them - make a difference to our creative potential. In this blog I record and reflect on my emerging ideas about creative networks. Monday, 16 May 2011. Networks v. networking. What's the difference? Less, because social n...

Transparent Tigers - Towers of Blood: February 2010

Transparent Tigers - Towers of Blood. The popular magazines, with pardonable excess, have spread news of the zoology and topography of Tlön; I think its transparent tiger and towers of blood perhaps do not merit the continued attention of all men" Jorge Luis Borges.
