Up, Up and Away - sstocktonminoa

Up, Up and Away. October 26th, 2009. One of the newer, lasting exhibits at the Conner Prairie Interactive History Park. Near Indianapolis is their "1859 Balloon Voyage". The balloon is an interesting contrast to the period school house, Dr. 's office, forge, and other dwelling history exhibits-complete with workers in character. I chance the balloon drive really interesting after holding merely read and reexamined Crease Jackson 's novel ABOVE THE FRAY. Powered by LiveJournal.com.

These are websites / web apps that I have worked on freelance or for work. Any project specified as work projects I cut up Photoshop. Files from a designer and created the HTML. Every once in a while I even implented some ASP.NET. Click the following images to view the details of the project. The Geist Community Church's website was in desperate need of a redesign so I volunteered my servivces. I incorporated the same colors previously used but updated the design and edited the layout. Hoosier journal of inanity: Herald by N.F. Houck is Finally a Proper eBook
http://hoosierinanity.blogspot.com/2015/05/herald-by-nf-houck-is-finally-proper.html
Friday, May 8, 2015. By NF Houck is Finally a Proper eBook. Yes, it’s finally happened. Herald. When ebooks were in their infancy, the process of converting print to ebook form was very easy. All one had to do to create an ebook was use the same electronic files used to create the print book, usually via a PDF. Almost nothing had to be stripped out, converted, reformatted, etc. That’s not true anymore - the EPUB/MOBI process has additional requirements. Because Herald. I couldn’t resist having a few.

Hoosier journal of inanity: Green Lantern movie review: By GL fans for certain GL fans
http://hoosierinanity.blogspot.com/2011/06/green-lantern-movie-review-by-gl-fans.html
Saturday, June 18, 2011. Green Lantern movie review: By GL fans for. This movie was definitely influenced by a very specific GL fan – namely, longtime GL writer Geoff Johns, who is listed as a co-producer. The movie has his fingerprints all over it. Heck, even most of Kilowog's lines are straight out of Johns'. Word for word are also going to be disappointed. It does drag in a couple of spots, and some of the editing is choppy), but I thought it was at least as good as the very first X-men movie. And Bla...

Hoosier journal of inanity: Daddy/Daughter Halloween, 2013
http://hoosierinanity.blogspot.com/2014/08/daddydaughter-halloween-2013.html
Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Daddy/Daughter Halloween, 2013. Ah, nothing like family togetherness on Halloween. Mighty Mite is age 5 in this photo. I'm not allowed to give out Mr. Sea's age. Only Mighty Mite would give Princess Leia pink boots. Dunno yet what we're going to do for Halloween this year. So far, Mighty Mite wants to dress like Merida from the movie Brave. And have me follow her around dressed like a bear. Not sure I want to go along with that idea. August 19, 2014 at 1:04 PM. Blog this, pal!

Hoosier journal of inanity: The Sad Tail of Bubbles the Goldfish
http://hoosierinanity.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-sad-tail-of-bubbles-goldfish.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2015. The Sad Tail of Bubbles the Goldfish. Bubbles is one of those rare goldfish to escape the feeder fish fate, but I’m not sure Bubbles was all that lucky in that regard. A while back, I established a tank of Lake Malawi African Cichlids. Fully aware that they weren’t the most, er, mellow. Cichlids, all of the same species - nine little fish total, in a 50-gallon tank. I made sure to feed them three small meals three times a day. Still, I had to have some. Thing in that big ol’...

While we no longer live in Jacksonville, the succession of tropical storms hitting our official state of residence prompted me to look at pictures of some past storms. Here's some choice images from Hurricane Irene, which only brushed against our coast. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. 4th of July at Patriot's Point. Next to th...

Kim J. Brand, Promiscuous Curiosities: Photo at Conner Prairie
http://blogs.computerexpertsindy.com/2015/04/photo-at-conner-prairie.html
Kim J Brand, Promiscuous Curiosities. People are polynomials - Life is non-linear - Die without regrets. Sunday, April 26, 2015. Photo at Conner Prairie. A spontaneous photo from Conner Prairie. The local, interactive, outdoor museum that partners with our 1st Maker Space. I was walking down the hall from our exhibit and saw these young Amish women peering over the mezzanine wall down to the first floor. It seemed like a paradox of old and new frozen for a moment in time. Had to share. Beth Ann and me.
