Fueled by Popcon: December 2008
http://fueledbypopcorn.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 20, 2008. Mr Bolsh and I had our 1 year wedding. Anniversary last July, but due to an unpleasant day. Before our anniversary we never celebrated. Since we've both been busy with our jobs, and other activities finding a weekend when it was just the two of us has been difficult. We finally made time to celebrate after my recent trip from Vietnam. I made a very wintery meal for a summer celebration but it was enjoyed. But back to food - Since the Bolsh family date night ended up falling o...

Fueled by Popcon: April 2008

Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Omlet and Fake Cheese. I enjoy new food products so I pick them up every once and awhile. Lately, those products have been fake cheese. Below is how I've used them. This is similar to SusanV. S recipe, but baked. I mixed in spinach to the batter. The inside is stuffed with steamed broccoli and Cheesely. Seemed to be a cross between Scheese. Which is my favorite for taste, though it does smell like V-Dog. In taste and Follow Your Heart. You can see the two cheeses here: Scheese.

Fueled by Popcon: March 2008

Monday, March 31, 2008. Strawberries. I love them. I saw them at the market last weekend and bought them - but they are such a tease. Early berries are never that great, let alone those sour California berries! I can't wait until Oregon's sweet berry season starts. With that said, I was inspired by the berries and make this cake:. Vanilla cake with strawberry jam filling and strawberry frosting. I made the strawberry frosting by mixing strawberry jam and powdered sugar with some earth balance. Just wante...

Fueled by Popcon: BattleStar Galactica Pizza
http://fueledbypopcorn.blogspot.com/2010/01/battlestar-galactica-pizza.html
Wednesday, January 20, 2010. I've been a fan of Battlestar Galactica. For awhile. The one element of the show that I always laugh at is the minimization of right angles! Every time I see the books or papers. In the show that have corners cut at angles I am thrown out of the show and reminded, "this world is like yours, but different! So Say We All. Ha, ha. Im working my way through the series right now! Have you played the Battlestar Galactica Board Game? This looks so delicious! View my complete profile.

Fueled by Popcon: Eating Through the Alphabet
http://fueledbypopcorn.blogspot.com/2010/02/eating-through-alphabet.html
Sunday, February 14, 2010. Eating Through the Alphabet. When I was 8 I started participating in Lent - I vowed to turn off the lights every time I left the room. Each year from then on I gave something up every year to better my life. This was odd since I grew up Protestant in a Mormon community, where I picked up this Catholic tradition of giving up something every Lent, I do not know. 16 years ago I gave up meat and never went back. 11 years ago I went vegan and never went back. 2 Eat rice as needed.

Thursday, September 18, 2008. Autumn has officially arrived, but I'm still scrambling to the farmer's markets for the final berries of the season. Though berries should be relished in their naked, sweet beauty, they also go awfully well in baked goods. And because this blog has seemingly defaulted into very occasional showcases for sweets, I give you.fruit.on cupcakes. And followed those with chocolate cupcakes filled with peanut butter buttercream. Auction winners like their chocolate, I suppose. Too fe...

VeganBibliotecaria: October 2007
http://veganbibliotecaria.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
A chronicle of the aventures of a single, vegan, socially liberal, catholic, aspiring activist in Boston. Sometimes about food, occassionally political, usually about frustrations and fears, and always about me. enjoy. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. I am sick again, the second time in two months. Which is how long I´ve been in Brasil. Besides being very disappointed in my immune system I am thrilled with my life here. My only regret is that I forgot my camera. Ugh! But he said something that I hope to take w...

this kitchen is delirious: October 2009
http://thiskitchen.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Here I am in grad school. I am still eating. I am still in love with vegetables. This autumn I specifically fell in love with romanesco broccoli and chanterelle mushrooms, from the farmer's market and self-foraged respectively. I am working very part time at KBCS. The local community radio station. Every time I turn around, I reel over a new voice. Some of my favorites this year were. Zoe Muth and The Lost High Rollers,. Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros.

this kitchen is delirious: the autumn that was eaten by time
http://thiskitchen.blogspot.com/2008/01/autumn-that-was-eaten-by-time.html
Wednesday, January 2, 2008. The autumn that was eaten by time. I suppose I owe an update. I started a new job in late August at Seattle's Crisis Clinic. The greatest cookbook of all time. Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero made this world a better place with the unveiling of Veganomicon. The day after Thanksgiving, my grandma, Corriene, turned 85. She is partially responsible for the onslaught of relatives that my holidays become- she has six children and countless grandchildren (and, for th...
