Saturday, November 26, 2005. In the last leg of their autumn tour of Japan (snow was a bonus! My parents, Uncle Jack and I spent a long weekend in Tokyo. We went to Odaiba, Meiji Shrine, Asakusa, Ueno, and some other places. We had plenty of good food, and they were not necessarily expensive. We went to my favourite sticky ramen restaurant in Roppongi, the 100-yen sushi conveyor belt place in Harajuku, the beef yakiniku place (they have an outlet in Singapore! There were like 15-20 ferrets! They gathered...

Wednesday, September 28, 2005. I really shouldn't convert anything to S$! I won't be able to buy rice anymore! However, I have had an experience that testifies to the quality of Niigata rice. After having eaten only Niigata rice for over a month, when I ate at a cheap place in Tokyo a couple of weeks ago, my immediate thought when I tasted the rice was this rice is definitely not from Niigata! I can't explain it.but there IS a difference. Everyone gathering in front of the school for rice harvesting.

Saturday, December 31, 2005. Or "Have a good next year! Saw a procession of Shinto priests at Meiji Shrine. Think many people are expected to visit the shrine at night. A wider temporary praying area was set up. Many food stalls were also set up in a separate area. Elenore and the Harajuku goth girls. We celebrated New Year's in Roppongi, but I don't think it was a particularly great party. I've had better parties in Singapore's clubs. Posted by Cindy @ Japan @ 11:54 PM. Anyone game enough to give IT a cool name? That completes my introduction series. Friday, May 26, 2006. Next up in the ...
