The great ‘Tweet of the Day’. Book by Brett Westwood and Stephen Moss describe him, ‘This magical bird is aptly named: appearing out of nowhere, hurtling over the ground on tight, compact wings as it flies in hot pursuit of a flock of Skylarks or Meadow Pipits’. From a quick sketch I selected the following nine fabrics.

My work was part of the Contemporary Quilters West. Group exhibition at Rook Lane. This will be travelling exhibition that can be seen at The West Country Quilt Show. At the University of the West of England 11th -13th of November and hopefully the NEC Stitching Sewing and Hobbycrafts show. Between the 3-6th of November 2016. April 17th 2016 - Full. June 5th 2016 - Full. October 15th 2016 - A few spaces still available.

So I made books with some of my papers and then soya waxed some of them. Here is one of mine. And another. So I now have June’s book. Just need to finish April’s and start May’s! This is a skill for which I have very little patience and even less aptitude. It was a beautiful day so we went up to the meadow and sat around picnic style twisting grasses into threads.
