Tuesday, 15 June 2010. 34 - Rievaulx Abbey. Well, today we decided to take advantage of Steve having a day off and go exploring one of our local ENgish Heritage sites, Rievaulx Abbey. The weather was gorgeous too, so after stocking up on lunch from the bakery, we set off! As you can see, it was glorious! Friday, 20 August 2010. 1 #2 - Oreo Cupcakes. I pinched this recipe from BeanTownBaker. But found the ricipe really faffy, and a little strange. In a large bowl cream the butter until fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Add the milk and vanilla and mix to combine.". This does NOT, repeat NOT work. Good news is, I now weigh 9 3/4 stone, only 1/4 stone more than I did before I got pregnant with my gorgeous son back in August 208. Sunday, 15 August 2010. So, I made The Pioneer Woman's Cheese Muffins. 3 cups of cheese? Stephen has decreed them tasty! Delicious cheesy cheesy muffins. 1 1/2 cups plain flour. 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar. 1 tablespoon baking powder. 3 cups grated cheese. 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) melted butter. Whisk together dry ingredients, then stir in cheese. In a separate bowl, whisk egg, milk, and butter together. Pour milk mixture into dry ingredients and stir with a spoon to combine. Tuesday, 11 May 2010. It's amazing to think that in four weeks time, my son will be a whole year old! How quickly the first year passes. and yet, it feels like our lives have never been Reuben-less! I mean, look at that face! You can't help but forgive all his sins! I have two meetings today, one with the student committee for the school I work for, and then with my boss, so should be fantastic fun whilst I'm very unwell, huh? But I'm not saying any more about that! Let's hope everyone can come!

Sunday, 15 August 2010. 1 and #2 - Cakes for Stephen's Work. So, Stephen's work clubbed together to give us some money as a wedding present, so I wondered what the perfect thankyou present would be. And I deduced that cupcakes were the solution. And that decision was nothign to do with the fact that I wanted to use my Wilton's gel colours and alphabet icing colours! A short while later. Tilt your head to the right, and you'll see the 'Thank You' bit of the cakes! Green = white chocolate and fudge.
