What those who were there have to say. Photographs by Russell Good. It had been quite for days,at the coolungubra vigil camp keeping an eye out for any activity.The forest was still and majestic. Then I was awakened by the sounds of a heavy vehicle,I woke my companion(? And bolted through the forest to find out what was happening. I heard a dozer working in the distance,I crept closer to find trees starting to fall to close for comfort.

In fact I was surprised by one post on the web that gave a time line from 1990 onwards. My first experience down there was in late 1987, in the Tantawangalo and Bondi, Halls creek etc. Anyone else remember those days?

We read the article and spent the next night spray bombing Forest industries house in Canberra. I recall our grafitti was the increibly witty (not) 'Don't fuck with the Forests'.
