8:54 - Creating reality, one grant application at a time. May 7th, 2009 09:12 am. Why you haven't heard from me in a while. So, I had this job. It was pretty demanding, and kept growing, but I kept it at part time so I could get comp time for the 90 hour weeks and have the flexibility to do stuff with my children. It went from just me, working as a contractor, to directing an office of four of us, and right now with the longer-term contractors and temps, it's about 10. 2009-05-07 02:12 pm (UTC). Thank yo...

http://sudbla.livejournal.com/71613.html
If I was kidding, Id be wearing a fez and no pants. Mar 15th, 2009 at 4:39 PM. I maybe have the best husband ever. Today he keeps telling me how beautiful I am, which is awesome because I'm wearing a sweatshirt and ill-fitting jersey workout pants to clean and pack the house in. And earlier this week, he did not even look at me funny when I effed up the risotto when we had company; now he won't stop talking about how great the make-up meyer lemon risotto was last night. 1 comment Leave a comment.

It was incredibly normal. My hours were more normal because I *had* a life outside work, and there was a certain ease with being able to just get into the rhythm of *living* someplace instead of immediately teleporting out. In effect, I was living in a place where I didn't live, and when I left the second time, it hurt jus...
