http://seanspetmonster.blogspot.com/2015/08/aug-3rd-minsmere_3.html
Monday, 3 August 2015. A sweltering day out at Minsmere with temperatures at around 25 °. A few painted ladies have made a long migration from Morocco to come feed from these buddleia bushes. The invasion of these lovely butterflies appears to be a small one this year, but maybe it will be next year in which we will get an invasion where fields and trees are covered in them across the country. It won't be long now I expect! The paler Spotted Redshank. Common Tern with a fish. Diving down for lunch! My CM...

http://seanspetmonster.blogspot.com/2015/08/how-to-draw-bats.html
Saturday, 15 August 2015. How To Draw: Bats. Post has all the information you need, just replace the birds with bats. Redraw the outlines in pen and shade in the wings and tail, but be careful not go over the wing's framework or the legs. Lightly shade in the body, creating a texture of fur by making a layer of tiny lines. The head is a slightly darker shade and the ears have lightly dark centres with light lines representing blood vessels. Saturday, August 15, 2015. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Thursday, 13 August 2015. Aug 12th Burgh Castle. The church at Burgh Castle. Last week when we were at Burgh Castle, we saw a poster on the gates of the church adjacent to the car park. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. Aug 12th Strumpshaw Fen. Male Mallard in eclipse phase. Juvenile Great Crested Grebe. Great White Egret with Grey Heron. Heron catching a Pike. I returned to Reception Hide sweating and tired from the brisk long walk back. I soon recovered and the sun was beginning to break through the clouds. It was nearing lunchtime and for one heron, it had an appetite bigger than its stomach. It hauled up a massive pike that was as big as its own head! Makes you think of where it all goes!
