Cards | cottamarts
https://cottamarts.wordpress.com/cards
My art and inspiration: view, read about, buy or commission. Being inspired by a printed pattern, cutting out tiny coloured letters, flicking through pages to find just the right detail and fiddling about with glue provides a great contrast to sweeping acrylic paint across large canvases. I create small collages. Using upcycled glossy mag pages and other scrap paper. My favourite way of working is to have someone in mind with a particular event or message to be conveyed by the image. My art and inspiration: view, read about, buy or commission. Aromatic memory →. April 21, 2015. After ignoring my phone for a couple of days I was absent mindedly thumbing through the emails that had built up. I’d scan Great Art Offer or Hi! Ed Needs You and hit the bin icon. The vaguely irritating enthusiasm of these admails was punctuated by a sincere Hi Coreen, I’ve just sold your painting “autoimmune”. Autoimmune acrylic on canvas 80cm x 30cm. I had painted it for a Bury Collective. You are commentin...

My art and inspiration: view, read about, buy or commission. Your walls, my work. Silver linings →. November 25, 2014. My palette, encrusted with smears and lumps of blue, green and yellow, is soaking in hot soapy water in the kitchen sink. The commissioned piece, a landscape of hills and fields, is finished. As the piece will not be with its new owner until the new year I’ll post just a peek – one of my favourite bits – a tiny bit of skyline. Summer fields – a detail. Your walls, my work. Business cards for the artwork | Bobbie's Artwork
https://bobbiesroom.wordpress.com/2015/06/21/business-cards-for-the-artwork
Documenting the progress or otherwise…. Business cards for the artwork. June 21, 2015. Well, I ummed and aaaahhhhd about what to call myself for these business cards for my painting drawing activities….’Painter’? As one friend said, I’d get lots of decorating work….’Artist’? Afraid I feel that word to be a bit too general, not to say sightly pretentious (sorry to all who refer to themselves as such, that’s just me and my hang ups! Then I’m very happy to consider it! Again, after lots more ummmming and aa...

The Manchizzle: January 2014
http://www.manchizzle.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 31, 2014. News flash: I am not cool. I am a fraud. I am misrepresenting myself, living a double life, guilty of perpetrating an online persona that is more than a little out of whack with reality. Actually, there is a gulf so big between the two things that you could drive a fleet of Mack trucks through it. But it’s so easy now, isn’t it? We all have these virtual aliases, a pocket full of glossy digital incarnations which only resemble our real selves if you squint really hard. Is also w...

cottamarts | my art and inspiration: view, read about, buy or commission
My art and inspiration: view, read about, buy or commission. January 20, 2018. Amongst the ephemera from my latest purse clearout I found a tram ticket and a coffee shop loyalty card. The smooth perfection of their surfaces, the neatly arranged colours and thoughtfully rounded corners made me pause before throwing them out. There’s a certain melancholy about mass produced items, so carefully designed to pass fleetingly through our lives without much consideraton from their audience. In attaching the litt...

Monday, October 8, 2012. I have two beautiful princesses. I love these girls so much! It has been a ruff adjustment going from one to two but I finally fill like I am in the swing of things. Avery is three months old now. She is smiling and laughing, which is so sweet. She is finally letting her Daddy hold her for more then two minutes. She loves her sister! When ever Anna talks or try to play with her, you can just see how happy it makes Avery! Friday, September 21, 2012. Thursday, September 20, 2012.

Kensie was trying to pull Nathan by the head to put him in this blanket so that he could have his picture taken. Nathan's first haircut. Since this picture we have cut it again. I couldn't handle the comb over from the back look he was trying to pull off. Where all his soft baby hair went I don't know, I sure do miss how soft and thick it was! So this is Sam's newborn photo. Nathan and him look quite a bit alike! Nathan is growing up way to fast for us these days! Mckensie is learning each day and bringi...
