Just BeeCuzz Quilting Buzz: May 2014
http://justbeecuzzblog.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Just BeeCuzz Quilting Buzz. Saturday, May 3, 2014. Made these door hangers recently. The pattern is in the Spring 2014 Quilts and More magazine. The pink and brown one was made for my aunt for hosting our annual family reunion. The red and blue one was an early Mother's Day gift to my mother. They are fun to make! The door hangers are going to be a series. Check out the Summer 2014 Quilts and More magazine. Can't wait to get started on this one! But I must finish one UFO before I start something else.

Just BeeCuzz Quilting Buzz: October 2013
http://justbeecuzzblog.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Just BeeCuzz Quilting Buzz. Saturday, October 5, 2013. Once again our Australian friend, Tania, taught us another fun technique. This morning we went over to her house for a lesson on discharge dyeing of black fabrics. The following are some pictures of some of the process using Softscrub with Bleach:. The fabric has a freezer paper kangaroo ironed on in the corner. Tania is applying the Softscrub paste with a little bleach mixed in. The change in color is almost immediate. Links to this post. Canuck Quilter: Checkerboard border
http://www.canuckquilter.com/2015/07/checkerboard-border.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. It seemed like a good idea, then not so much, then good again, then I ground my teeth. I think it was worth it. The blue is a bit washed out from the camera flash, but that’s what I get at 9:30pm! I thought my airplane quilt needed a little something more. A checkerboard border to echo the nine-patch alternate blocks sounded just right, and with strip piecing it would come together quickly. In theory. About halfway through I didn’t think this was such a good idea anymore! I love ho...

Canuck Quilter: Which Way North?
http://www.canuckquilter.com/2015/08/which-way-north.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Which will shortly be winging its way north to its new owner. I can’t tell you yet how I came up with that name, but I can say that it has nothing at all to do with that little maple leaf and Canada being in the northern half of the continent. It does have to do with an oops in my quilting design, and that’s all I will say until the recipient has a stab at figuring it out! Another picture just because. And the requisite “quilt with feet” shot. Finally, just in case you think I ac...
