All sessions for adults and adolescents are sixty minutes in length and begin at the top of the hour unless previously arranged. Sessions for couples may be either sixty or ninety minutes depending on the needs of the couple.

Therapy for adolescents is typically done individually in order to maintain a confidential relationship. Periodic family sessions with the parents or family can be scheduled if warranted. Usually, it is ideal for the adolescent to begin to address family issues directly with the parents as this fosters a sense of independence and mastery for the adolescent. Confidence in the adolescent promotes the parents’ confidence in their child’s growing maturity and self-reliance.
