Arctic / Country Care Charity is embarking on projects to help improve facilities at Afia Nkwanta Hospital in the Western Region of Ghana. This hospital caters for the whole of central and parts of western regions of Ghana. At a recent visit by Mrs Margaret Lawerteh - a trustee of Arctic Care and Country Care, She was told the lift to the top floors of the building was broken, there was only one infant incubator at the hospital, no bed spread or towels and few sterilisation equipment was available.
