Through The Garden Gate. Thursday, 12 November 2015. All in one fruit cake ( courtesy of a margarine tub many years ago! This has to be one of the easiest fruit cakes ever. I used to make it years ago when I had three very small sons and not a lot of time. Thumbing through a very old notebook I have just rediscovered the recipe. Perfect for this time of year when your Christmas cake is sitting waiting until the 25th December and you fancy the taste of all that delicious fruit. 5 oz caster sugar. Ill see ...

Through The Garden Gate. Thursday, 14 January 2016. Five on Friday-Hamlet's Castle. In Shakespeare's Hamlet, the castle of Elsinore was featured. Joining with Amy , will give you five facts about Kronborg castle. Kronborg has the largest ball room in Northern Europe measuring 62 X 12 metres. The black and white tiled floors are a feature of the castle. Four people have now...

Monday, December 29, 2014. Two years ago today, I published my first post to this blog. I'd been an avid reader of blogs for a long time and thought it might be fun to have my own, but I wasn't sure I had enough to say. Thursday, December 25, 2014. Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Saturday, December 20, 2014. I realized that I've already made it to December 20 without watching Love Actually. And I think I'll remedy this tonight. After that, A Christmas Story. After st...

The Many Musings of Molly Printemps: September 2014
http://mollyprintemps88.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
The Many Musings of Molly Printemps. Monday, 29 September 2014. I have no interest in politics and I hardly watch the News now but I believe we are getting involved in a war with something called IS (Islamic State). Is this another new made up expression designed to make us frightened enough to back yet another war in the Middle East that has fluff all to do with the UK? I can't bring myself to post a photo of David Cameron because it just makes me want to slap his big round shiny face. Brough, East Ridi...

The Many Musings of Molly Printemps: August 2015
http://mollyprintemps88.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
The Many Musings of Molly Printemps. Monday, 3 August 2015. Once Upon a Time. Once upon a time there was a wee Scottish girl,. With long skinny legs and a great big smile. A twin brother she adored, as part of herself,. A bond not shared, by anyone else. A mum and dad who loved her, of that there was no doubt,. And two younger sisters, who made her laugh and shout. Her dolls neatly dressed, she took care of her toys,. She treasured these moments like nobody else. Fluent in French, the best cook by far,.

gracefulfig: Caravaning With A Dollhouse - Table Time
http://www.gracefulfig.com/2015/07/caravaning-with-dollhouse-table-time.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. Caravaning With A Dollhouse - Table Time. A year ago I posted this photo. To my Flickr photostream. The Calico Critters Caravan is another option to bring in some variety to the Table Time tableaux. Here, instead of the Koala family, are some vintage German dollhouse dolls. They're not something I'd want to put out for regular play because of their rariety (at least in the USA). But they fit the Caravan's scale perfectly. Sisters having fun with the bunk beds in the roof. I HEART F...

Monday, August 31, 2015. Eine Kleine Alpentour :). Since I made my little Enzian Haus, I've been feeling all nostalgic for the fresh mountain air,. So I thought I'd take a tour down memory lane with photos of our trips through alpine Europe back in the 80s and 90s. Come and join me! A home in Oberammergau, Bavaria, Germany. Street scene in Oberammergau. Lovely ladies going to the Viehschau in Appenzell, Switzerland. View from our Gasthof in Appenzell. Airing the bedding in downtown Appenzell. I'm trying ...

gracefulfig: December 2014
http://www.gracefulfig.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 19, 2014. Found these cuties on Amazon. They're made from bamboo and plastic and are manufactured by Hape Toys in Luzern, Switzerland, but made in China. Each came in a cute little box with its own satin bed. Everything moves on them, but their necks seem a bit weak for 3 year olds. I'd save them for table top play with gentle 5 year olds making dioramas, etc. Aloha with hugs,. Links to this post. Tuesday, December 9, 2014. This photo is from cptoys.com. Where they have them for sale.
