Map of the Mathare Valley. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. The beans came in giant 100lb bags and had to be separated out into smaller bags to be put into each basin. The basins as they are being assembled and filled by the team. Here are some of the almost filled basins minus a few items that were given as the basin was passed out. Each basin included the following items: a bottle of soda, salt, sugar, maize, flour, cooking oil, soap, bag of beans, tea, and a few other items. August 13, 2010 at 5:42 AM.

Map of the Mathare Valley. Thursday, August 19, 2010. The last part of Crossroad's trip was spent at the MoHI boarding school, Joska. It was an amazing time that I was able to be a part of as I was not technically a part of the Crossroads mission team. They came out to the school on a Sunday morning for church like many teams do, but instead of going home at the end of the day they stayed two nights until Tuesday. We bunked in the girls dorm room on the beds that the Joska girls sleep in.

Just another view of the empty school. This is the room where I slept with the girls of Crossroads just last week. It is now back to normal with the belongings of the Joska students instead. Right before I went down for the count with what is supposedly now Typhoid, I was able to take a group of kids off campus on our Outreach Day to visit our Precious Veggie Ladies and surprise and Bless them in Jesus Name with a sack lunch. The kids and I were able to make lunches that included hamburgers, cookies, an apple, and a soda. The kids made them cards too! The helped with all of it! Posted by Cassandra Luna.
