Easy couple of days learning to fly again. Adrian and Pete headed up to the field to learn how to fly again. Too much time spent off the sticks and playing with planes has taken it's toll. Too windy for hovering so Pete tries a flip instead! Fantastic weather but a bit windy. All three of us flying together again, not at the same time as the sky gets crowded now that we don't just hover. Tested the set-up of both my kits, V2 is OK but not enough pitch or throttle to played with that a bit. Got very brave with the V1 kit as it is now very responsive. Another weekend and another crash. Fair bit of forward flight this weekend for me and practising banked turns and remote circles. Everything was going well but I could tell that I was getting a little over-cofident and ripping across the sky too fast . Next thing you know the heli is twitching on the ground from a nose-dive from about 75ft up. Managed to rebuild most that night and awaiting parts to complete the rebuild and setup. It's not all crashing. To prove it's not all about crashing, here are some of the highlights from yesterday flying. After what feels like months of rain we finally had a dry sunny day to get up the flying field. Careful negotiation of the mud and the successful extraction of Adrian's car by a bunch of itinerant strawberry pickers found us whizzing across the sky with the 450's. Kudos for the effort though!
