Cowichan Kayak and Canoe Club. Polar Bear Paddle, Maple Bay Jan. 1, 2012. The first paddle of the year set off from Maple Bay and watched the New Years Day Polar Bear Swimmers at noon, then proceeded to Octopus Point for lunch. Trip was organized by Don McAfee. Broken Group Sept. 9 – 12, 2011. Blackberry Point Weekend Trip June 24- 26, 2011. Cedar by the Sea to Pirates Cove then to Blackberry Point lead by Adrian VandenDungen. Nine paddlers from the club participated in this adventure.

Cowichan Kayak and Canoe Club. Meetings are held at the Cowichan Valley Senior’s Center. Monthly classroom training sessions are at 7:30 pm.with socializing time 7:00 to 7:30pm on the second Tuesday of each month except July and August which have no regularly scheduled meetings. Place: Seniors Activity Centre, 198 Government Street, Duncan. Refreshments will be provided. Free parking available on-site. Next Meeting is Tuesday, October 11, 2016. 7:30pm. Members of the Club receive a monthly newsletter.
