8230;Because food tastes better when your chef is wearing a ball gown. Japanese Gomae with Red Spinach. March 22, 2015. In Japanese this dish is called. Or spinach with sesame seeds. It’s an extremely simple dish consisting of just that: spinach and sesame seeds with a few other Japanese flavors thrown in for good measure and umami flavor explosion. I used to eat this dish all the time as a kid at a beloved Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles called Mishima. There’s an excellent recipe for gomae here.

http://casacaudill.blogspot.com/2013/09/travel-scotland-day-3.html
Monday, September 16, 2013. TRAVEL: SCOTLAND DAY 3. Day three, funnily enough, was our first full day in Scotland. We had a big day scheduled, which should tell you that everything went wrong. In the end, everything worked out incredibly well, but as our plans were unraveling we thought we were cursed. Thankfully though, I didn't cry. In the Highlands, visit stunning Glen Coe. Um, trouble. (At least the scenery was good.). Our first stop was the Forth Bridge. Is rumored to be where smugglers and pirates ...

Grilled Japanese Eggplant | Kitchen Princess
https://ally-jane.com/2013/03/10/grilled-japanese-eggplant
8230;Because food tastes better when your chef is wearing a ball gown. March 10, 2013. Amidst the chaos of tourists, skateboarders and homeless people in Union Square there is a temple of calm. It’s called Republic and they serve noodles. All kinds of noodles – glass noodles, ramen noodles, Thai noodles, Malaysian noodles and most of them are pretty good. It’s a little too much of a scene there and honestly the noodles are just okay. I trust that if you make this tonight, you’ll be having at least ...

It was everything I had hoped it would be, and I'm so happy to have finally made the trip. We can't wait to go back to Victoria and Tofino! For a play-by-play of our entire trip, check out the posts I wrote when we returned. Victoria, Here We Come. Bears, Beaches and Beer. Pretending to be Outdoorsy. Final Days in BC.

http://casacaudill.blogspot.com/2013/05/product-review-lush-caca-rouge.html
Tuesday, May 14, 2013. PRODUCT REVIEW: LUSH CACA ROUGE. Whoever said maintaining red hair is super hard was not exaggerating. I've had red hair before - for over a year. Every 8 weeks I'd do my roots and bring the color down into my ends to brighten up my whole head of hair. It looked good until I got a bad box of Feria (or was it Garnier? I thought I'd finally accomplished my aim when I fixed what the salon had wrought. But it too faded over time and was pulling pink. Yeah, that was a whole other story.

Friday, April 17, 2015. Yesterday I showed you pictures of DC's spectacular cherry blossoms. In full bloom thanks to my best friend Heather. To keep the theme going, today I'm posting pictures from our trip there in January 2013. I feel like it's been far too long since we last visited and that I may need to rectify that soon. But suffice it to say, she paved the way for those strong, ambitious women we see today. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Stay tuned for more updates! POPULAR POSTS THIS WEEK.
