Notes from a Trail Head: September 2012
http://jez-hiking.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 17, 2012. Black Magic on Wilpena Pound's Peaks. A bushfire back in January cleared the way for us to tackle some of Wilpena Pound's peaks - this time Mt Karawarra, Point Bonney and Tumburru Peak. Previously the vegetation was so dense it was a difficult 1km/h, but now that fire had blackened the landscape we could get in. SUMMARY - Wilpena Pound peaks. Wilpena Pound Resort/General Store. Flinders Ranges National Park. We weren't certain how much had been burnt, despite the fire maps.

Adventures, mostly with bikes. The hills of Eildon. On Cup Day weekend 2015, 8 survived mechanicals, thunderstorms and unhealthy quantities of sugar to complete a ride from Tallarook to Benalla via Jamieson. Lake Eildon, viewed from the hills above Jamieson. Surprise mechanic in Tallarook comes up with a plan to save Ellen’s pedal. Then, a miracle! Fifty metres down the rail trail, a sign! The Tallarook Hotel. Not yet a gourmet must-do. Yea Alexandra Lake Eildon. The second mechanical struck conveniently...
