Crafts from the Cwtch. Knitting and crochet - patterns, tutorials, reviews and more. WIP Wednesday: For the love of stripes. In last week's tutorial. I showed you a peek at a stripy gift project I'd started. It's been a while since I knitted with Scheepjes Stone Washed. Anyway, I digress. Making Memories: Daytrip to Nymans | Crafts from the Cwtch
http://www.craftsfromthecwtch.co.uk/2015/08/making-memories-daytrip-to-nymans.html
Crafts from the Cwtch. Knitting and crochet - patterns, tutorials, reviews and more. Making Memories: Daytrip to Nymans. It's been quiet on the blog as we have been making the most of the holidays. On Tuesday we met some friends for a lovely day out at Nymans, a National Trust property. Situated close to Haywards Heath in West Sussex. There isn't as much to see indoors - the house was partially destroyed by fire in 1947 - but what remains looks like something from a period drama or fairytale illustration.

All change - "Knitters" and "Crocheters" Unite!! | Crafts from the Cwtch
http://www.craftsfromthecwtch.co.uk/2015/04/all-change-knitters-and-crocheters-unite.html
Crafts from the Cwtch. Knitting and crochet - patterns, tutorials, reviews and more. All change - Knitters and Crocheters Unite! My hands have been fairly idle over the holidays (if you discount the cooking, driving kids around etc.) and it's given my brain some time to think about the annual Spring "knitalong". Of the various kals I've hosted so far, my personal favourite was the 'Next Step Sock Knitalong'. Several of my own favourite bloggers are primarily crocheters, so I see a lot. Crochet, or both!

Not Your Gram's Afghan: New River Gorge
http://notyourgramsafghan.blogspot.com/2014/09/new-river-gorge.html
Not Your Gram's Afghan. A fun place to show off my crafty projects and ideas ;-). Monday, September 29, 2014. In the middle of August I went on a girls weekend trip. We went to New River Gorge in West Virginia. There were 7 of us and we stayed in this super cute little house that had a hot tub! There were all kinds of things to do in the area that it was kind of hard to choose what to do! My sister Missy took a selfie on the 3.5 hour drive. Tour guide Joel did not need breaks. Then us, under the bridge:.

http://notyourgramsafghan.blogspot.com/2014/10/owen-is-getting-so-big-fo.html
Not Your Gram's Afghan. A fun place to show off my crafty projects and ideas ;-). Friday, October 3, 2014. Owen is getting so big! My nephew, Owen, is getting so big. I can't get over it! I had a chance to babysit him in August and he was just adorable! The dog, Dakota, was on clean up duty of Cheerios. Owen loves to get kisses from the dog. Owen had an ear infection so he wasn't feeling well later, but he liked to snuggle and watch baby einsteins. I love that blanket! You remember the Owen Hoodie. Littl...

http://lizofdandeliondaydreams.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
2013 A Lovely Year of Finishes. Union Jack Block tutorial. Saturday, 22 June 2013. A Little Bit Wonky. A little bit wonky - thank goodness; that was the brief for our June *Fat Quarterly K* Bee! This Tallgrass Prairie inspired wonky log cabin block has to be THE most fun-to-make-bee-block ever. There was none of the usual; are my seam allowances spot on; or, is it perfectly squared up; or even, what fabric goes where, with this bee block. This was the inspiration. Dandelion Daydreams: New Quilt News and Link Up
http://lizofdandeliondaydreams.blogspot.com/2013/10/new-quilt-news-and-link-up.html
2013 A Lovely Year of Finishes. Union Jack Block tutorial. Thursday, 3 October 2013. New Quilt News and Link Up. I've started on a new quilt. It was definitely time to use the gorgeous rainbow charms from the Fluffy Sheep charm swap. My Aunt asked if I could make her a bigger quilt and she loves colour, so I thought it could make the perfect combination. There were 8 colour groups in the rainbow swap, so I also used charms from the text swap to make up a simple 9-patch. This is as far as I have got.

crafts from the heart
Friday, August 23, 2013. Dare to be different. When I get a custom order, I am excited first, but then I panic. Oh no, what if he/she does not like it? In closing, I will now look at custom orders in a new way. No more panic, but more excitement. Hey I get to play with other people's money. How great is that? And in the end, the customer is happy and I grow my wings a bit longer and reach for the stars. Posted by CRAFTS FROM THE HEART. Links to this post. Must love home decor. Etsy. Links to this post.

Crafts From the Past
Crafts From the Past. I am fascinated by crafts from long ago. So, this blog is dedicated to Crafts From the Past. Right now, that means tatting, crochet, and knitting. If and when I add something new, you'll be the first to know. Wednesday, May 30. This foundation, knowing that crafting was a good outlet for your creativity, spurred me to learn how to knit once I got to college. I even poked around until I figured out that the little shuttle in my grandmother's sewing box was for tatting and learned...
