A song of theirs came on the other evening whilst mudding sheetrock, and I thought it'd been a while since I'd listened to anything of theirs. Fast-forward to a regular old Tuesday at the office. Putting on headphones, logging into Grooveshark and looking them up. Not much there, and the quality sort of sucked, so over to Youtube it was. Which is where I found this. Links to this post. Monday, October 21, 2013. It seems like cheating in a way but I had the utmost respect for Clark (who indeed tuned by ear. a prerequisite for any technician I would let tune the Bechstein). For him it was more a method on which to tune certain pianos exactly the same way each and every time. Also now to allow someone like myself to tune it as he would in his absence. Last November I went through the motions. now it is time to do it again. My helper here looking on. And then we would watch The Spinner.

Monday, September 8, 2014. Looking back at a summer well-spent and well-adventured this year through a bunch of random photographs. We started our adventure on a rickety old boat named The Lady of the Lake II from Chelan to Lucerne forty-some miles uplake. And then hopped on board an even-more-rickety old school bus to the little mining town named Holden now run as a summer camp by a Lutheran group eleven miles up Rainbow Creek, a sort of gateway into the heart of the North Cascades. And slept in a tent.
