A few things you need to know. Bring old Sneakers or Water Shoes-. One Gallon of Water -. If you bring a large bottle of water it is very useful. You can dump it over your head after you plunge to wash the salt water off. The water in your jug will be warmer than the ocean and will actually feel warm as you rinse off. Each Plunger and one guest get a wristband that entitles them to a free lunch after the plunge. This is an especially a good idea for our younger plungers or first timers.

The idea to create a town wide plunge team came as a result of several Teen Advisory Board members taking part in 2009's event. They were able to raise money for a good cause and had fun while doing it. It seemed to be something other Cranford residents would enjoy. The Cranford PlungersTeam was formed for the 2010 event.
