As you do over New Years, I was standing around the BBQ chatting to friends, and was talking to guy I went to Uni with about the trials and tribulations about running a custom bike biz here in the Antipodes. Sunday, May 30, 2010. Pivot Firebird and Pivot Mach 5 reviews. No Skid Marks;2192441. Cool, I'll check the specs later, but from the horses mouth(ie you, sorry), the handling is better why? And what areas ie tight stuff, climbing, DH? Pedalling, when seated, standing, over rocks? Do they lock out much/at all when pedalling(I'm guessing they would)? Suspension performance, again, same questions as handling? A mini review from you would be great, on bothbikes. Are they in "post your ride"?

Sunday, April 25, 2010. What are my options? I've semi decided that a career change may be in order. I've really enjoyed doing the track maintenance and would like to look into starting a business working towards MTB advocacy and designing and building sustainable MTB trails. But that's a good 3 years off at least, for various reasons. I'll see what happens over the next 3 years. Forums are not the place to provide your opinion. It would help if they weren't all hypocrites or plain stupid though.

Wednesday, May 12, 2010. The week so far. Monday afternoon i explored the 'new' track built at Camden. It was just an old track that had been groomed a bit with a smaller mini loop added in. It's not too bad and makes the out and back trip a little different. This afternoon i had planned on doing a mtb ride and took almost everything i needed to work. Sunday, February 6, 2011. Jetblack Sydney 24hr mtb race. The track definitely wasn't something I'd go out of my way to ride again. About 4km of road, 2km of firetrail/unsealed road and 2km of singletrack, the first third of which was very sandy. The fish was crap too with a nice, long, unchewable grey streak down the length of it! The wind blew the tarp down at one point and a pole smacked Andy in the back of the head. Not really a great weekend with the weather for a 24hr race but that can't be help...
