A Penny for My Thoughts: Mother's Day 2015
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2015/05/mothers-day-2015.html
Sunday, May 10, 2015. Today was a lovely, low-key, happy Mother's Day. I am so very thankful to get to spend my days and life with these people. Abe made his Sunday special- ham and cheese omlets for the family. My favorite! Abe and the kids got me very large cards for Mother's Day this year. Very considerate of my poor vision. Grandma and Grandpa Cannon joined us for a Mother's Day dinner and games. A Mother's Day picture of Bev and me. Thanks to my family for the hugs, letters, kind words and love.

A Penny for My Thoughts: January 2015
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Livin' for the Weekend. They all played quite well together and this was the cast picture for their play. I was the audience and I tell you it was spectacular! This group played a couple of fun rounds of musical chairs as well. On the whole, I don't think people play musical chairs often enough. People would be happier if they did. It's a great game. When was the last time you played? It just filled me up and I felt so grateful to be a party of such a family. When the kids re...

A Penny for My Thoughts: November 2014
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 28, 2014. What I Don't Want to Forget. Ahhh time to blog. What a luxury "time" has been this week. Tomorrow we head home, which is always nice. But I must confess, I haven't quite had my fill of this trip yet. It's been really, truly lovely. As I sit here in Marjorie's old, darkened bedroom with a sleeping Peter, I am relishing my many, many pleasant memories of time spent here at Fox Hill with Abe's family. Arriving in Spokane after long drives on hot summer afternoons. The endless tub ...

A Penny for My Thoughts: February 2015
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2015. My bigger kids are really awesome. They are involved in really great activities. They do and say very interesting, entertaining, inspiring things. However, they do not wish to be photographed very often and they do not wish for me to write very much about them on this blog. Apparently they feel they have rights. Hmmph. So this post is dedicated to "Team Little Kids". Team Little Kids are best friends. They are adventure kids- they love to climb trees. They've been playing a ...

A Penny for My Thoughts: Hope For a Brighter Day
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2015/05/hope-for-brighter-day.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. Hope For a Brighter Day. Elinor is twelve years old and she is wonderful. She is a voracious reader. She loves doing her computer programming class. She has delightful friends. She excels at piano. She loves to bake. She is kind, smart, thoughtful, patient, a daydreamer. She is a joy to me and all who know her. But there was a time when she wasn't so happy. And neither was I. I feel for you! All of my kids were terrible sleepers, literally not sleeping more than 3 hours consecutive...

A Penny for My Thoughts: Play Ball!
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2015/05/play-ball.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. Faith is a hardworking little lady. She had an idea, made a plan, and put it into action. She organized a big softball game with lots of kids in the neighborhood- all ages and abilities. She wrote up adorable invitations and delivered them herself. I was sure at least a few kids would show up, but there were over twenty kids there. Bethany was the oldest player. I do so love him. I was so proud of her, taking such initiative. Nicely done, Faith! This is the cutest! Jesse and Amy Fox.

A Penny for My Thoughts: End of Preschool
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2015/05/end-of-preschool.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. George absolutely loved being a part of a neighborhood preschool this year. We had our end of year party a couple weeks ago and it was such fun for the kids. I've heard of finger painting, but this was my first time seeing foot painting. We have benefited from the energy, creativity, and organization of the younger moms. We've had such a warm spring that kids were running through sprinklers and playing with squirt guns. I'm glad he has good little friends in the neighborhood.'.

A Penny for My Thoughts: September 2014
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 16, 2014. George is getting to do something that none of his brothers or sisters have done. He's going to school! Well, not exactly, but he is doing a little neighborhood preschool/playgroup some moms in the neighborhood organized. They meet Tuesdays and Thursdays for an hour and a half and do a few little field trips over the year. So far, he likes it and I've remembered to take him and pick him up every day! Okay, this next one is big news! We called up our friends, the Butterfields,...

A Penny for My Thoughts: Happy Birthday, Shakespeare!
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2015/05/happy-birthday-shakespeare.html
Friday, May 1, 2015. Happy Birthday, Shakespeare! Last week our family book club celebrated Shakespeare's birthday by acting out several famous scenes. Andrea chose the scenes, handed us our scripts, and ten minutes later- voila! Here are Clark, London, and Zach performing a scene from Richard III. Elinor, Faith, and McKinley were the three witches in Macbeth. "Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble! They were a good audience. There was another scene with Jakob and Raven doing Much Ado About Nothing. She hoped...

A Penny for My Thoughts: Bad News and Bizarre Pictures
http://abfoxden.blogspot.com/2015/05/bad-news-and-bizarre-pictures.html
Sunday, May 3, 2015. Bad News and Bizarre Pictures. Wednesday was the wrap-up of Kid's Book Club for the 2014-15 school year. Book club has been a lot of fun with great kids. It has been a pleasure to get to know them better. But a sad thing happened at book club- do you see the cute gal in pink? She colored and brought me this lovely picture of Hello Kitty. And then she fell off the trampoline (George was the only one there with her) and broke her arm. We read the book A Grain of Rice,. The Grain of Rice.
