Cream Teas and Crafternoons: September 2011

http://creamteasandcrafternoons.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Cream Teas and Crafternoons. Saturday, 24 September 2011. Having finished the Charlotte Dress for P last week, it is now time to get on with the project I've had going on for me! It's a lovely Autumn Cardigan, and I'd like to finish it soon, given that we're now officially in Autumn! It's from the Sirdar Tweedie Chunky pattern book. Though I confess I'm not actually using Tweedie Chunky wool, but a nice Aran I spotted a while back. It's a lovely and simple pattern to follow, though when particularly tire...

Cream Teas and Crafternoons. Saturday, 26 November 2011. Christmas Presents in the making. Life is very busy at the moment in the Crafternoon household! I guess with two littlies, life is never going to be quiet (and come on, let's be honest- who want's a quite life? I am doing a little tutoring, a little child minding, and in amongst all of that, trying to be organised with Christmas gifts! E has been doing some Christmas stamping to help make labels for the said jams, marmalades and chutneys. Dragonfly...

Cream Teas and Crafternoons: Poppy for Poppy

http://creamteasandcrafternoons.blogspot.com/2011/11/poppy-for-poppy.html

Cream Teas and Crafternoons. Sunday, 6 November 2011. With Remembrance day approaching, I, as is usually customary, bought a poppy. This did not last long, as my seven month old daughter grabbed it, dribbled on it and tried to chew it. As I arrived at church this morning, I saw these lovely hand crocheted wire and button poppies being sold. It fastens on with a catch, and is reusable. The money goes to charity- half to the British Legion, and half to ingotec. The company behind the Dragonfly Co-operative.

Happiest in hunters: Its out!!

http://happiestinhunters.blogspot.com/2013/10/its-out.html

Saturday, 12 October 2013. Enjoying reading the Kinfolk cookbook this morning during breakfast. Rupert was fast a sleep and Tom is selling his cheese at the farmers market. A book by Nathan Williams, which is totally inspiring, with recipes from all over the world. When they visited England they came to us at The Vineyards and we cooked something simple that had been a family recipe of the Calver's for generations. http://happiestinhunters.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, 3 February 2013. We're having a little person! During the last 3 moths of christmas festivities we have mainly been hibernating and I have been packing down as much food as possible. I very much missed out on smoked salmon and gin and tonic's as I have a little person growing inside me. Very excited that we are now in our second trimester at nearly 14 WEEKS PREGNANT! Happiest in hunters: September 2013

http://happiestinhunters.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 18 September 2013. Little fella is 4 weeks today! Piling on the pounds, he's now weighing 13lb. Its incredible how they change day by day, he is focusing a lot now and starting to hold his head up. We have been very lucky and he sleeps well, he loves his day time nap and this usually gives me chance to run around and do the chores. I love spending time with him. I love those chunky little legs, he is often in this position having his nappy changed as he feeds so well! Sunday, 1 September 2013.

Thursday, 25 July 2013. Hanging up my scissors. First week of maternity leave. I knew I had a-lot to give up leaving my salon after 5 years of it being my baby and the success it has been, no-one will ever understand the amount of hard work that goes into it, and it looks seemless to everyone else involved. However the time has come and I actually feel ready now, and trust my colleagues to look after it while I'm away. I will be back! Thursday, July 25, 2013. Monday, 22 July 2013. Cream Tea Review

Friday, 20 August 2010. In an attempt to relish what's left of the summer, last weekend two friends and I took a journey out to the country's best stately home (and home of Mr Darcy) Chatsworth. We're incredibly lucky that by living in Nottingham we live less than an hours drive (and in most cases just 30 minutes away) from a vast collection of stately homes - both National Trust. And privately owned such as the hidden away gem Haddon Hall. The grand Hardwick Hall. And the English Heritage. As you might ...

What better way to remind someone of special times spent in Devon - a honeymoon, holidays with family or a celebration weekend with friends? If they haven't been to Devon, why not spoil a friend or family member with a delicious Cream Tea for a Birthday, Anniversary, Congratulations or just to "cheer them up" or say "I'm thinking of you"? But, if you put the cream on top of the jam it might just slide off!
