But I put a layer of gesso first. The two first paintings here. Here I started from. I first tried out my soft pastels (Mungyo). And drew with a charcoal. The eyes are painted with charcoal as well. Then colored in some more soft pastels. The outlines I drew with the charcoal. Then painted a layer with some transparent gesso.
