http://viewsontheworldaroundme.blogspot.com/2010/01/face-to-face.html
Views on the World Around Me. Friday, January 29, 2010. From now on, I'm going to only talk to people in person. That is, when they are someone I don't know, and I want to interview them for a journalism story. It turns out that my voice on the phone is very easy to say no to. And it must be my voice, because I'm always polite and accommodating. To be honest, this kind of gives me hope. In a world where everything is run by technology and the newest gadget, It's comforting to know that people still a...

Views on the World Around Me. Saturday, February 6, 2010. Bring on the Chocolate! So, I'm pretty sure chocolate can solve anything. Really. The first case I want to talk about is when you're stressed. You have about a million things to do including, but not limited to, school, homework, work, etc. You look at your agenda, and want to scream. All you need is to pop a little piece of chocolate into you mouth, and voila. You're a tiny bit better. Oh, I should probably mention that exercising also releases e...

Views on the World Around Me. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. The Relevance of Blogging. Before I started the Creative Communications program, I had never read a blog in my life. I thought a blog was really just another word for online journal. But now that I’ve had a few months of writing and reading them, I’ve changed my view on what they are and what they can accomplish. Here are just a few of the examples I believe show the relevance of blogging. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Is an especially prominent.

6' and Holding: The WHS, Mary, and Me.
http://sixfeetandholding.blogspot.com/2011/12/whs-mary-and-me.html
Saturday, December 31, 2011. The WHS, Mary, and Me. It's been so long since my last post (where I left off my announcement of finding a new job) that it almost feels anti-climatic. That being said, the excitement for my new job continues and I couldn't be happier. A house, but not a home. Someone is too sleepy to say "Hi",. Awww Just bring her home already. Please! Mary, ready for her "close up.". It's our only option. The animals clearly outnumber us two to one. What's with the flash, Jack? View my compl...

6' and Holding: On Writing
http://sixfeetandholding.blogspot.com/2012/04/on-writing.html
Tuesday, April 3, 2012. I consider myself a. Maybe I'm a better writer than I think because most people. But this isn't about me. It's about writing. One thing is for sure,. If you're a writer, your readers will enjoy less headaches if you. Follow three simple rules:. Stick to one idea, finish it, and move on. If your point wanders, that is what your reader's mind is doing. How long will you keep his attention? 3 Don't over think. By over-analyzing, you are prone to fall into the errors of points 1 and 2.

Saturday, February 4, 2012. Pearl Jam and a Festival In the Sun. I am reminded of this weekend of nearly 19 years ago as I watch Cameron Crowe's documentary, Pearl Jam Twenty. One by one, we were all blown away at this newly-categorized Seattle sound. Ten. Was thought-provoking and full of passion and energy; lyrically brilliant, outstanding musicianship. As I watched, Pearl Jam. From that night as well). I was very touched by the honesty in, Pearl Jam Twenty. I'm a fan of Mother Love Bone. PS I saw Pear...

6' and Holding: Mistakes Were Made...
http://sixfeetandholding.blogspot.com/2012/04/mistakes-were-made.html
Monday, April 9, 2012. I like a project, particularly one that involves woodworking. So, I couldn't resist when a friend of mine asked me to take a look at his guitar to see if it could be fixed. Seems he got a bit creative and wanted to give one of his guitars a new look. As you can see here, it ended up badly. The guitar is an electric acoustic Kramer that used to be white. Before this happened, I had played it a few times. It's a decent little guitar. Greg M. Berg. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
