Photography, knitting, and more. And since it’s now nearly the last minute before this year’s race kicks off, I thought I should (finally) post some of my photos from Stage 8 of the 2013 AToC. I stood on the corner of Bodega Highway and Jonive Road, right near this sign. Jonive Road is a fairly short but steep climb, and it was a pretty popular site for the fans. As I stood there waiting for the race to arrive, this guy walked past me. Things were starting to get busy as the race drew nearer. May 9, 2014.

Photography, knitting, and more. Then there are the deer, jackrabbits, wild turkeys, squirrels, lizards, woodpeckers, and a few species of snakes. And these are just the animals I’ve actually seen (or heard) on my walks; there are plenty of others I haven’t caught sight of yet — racoons, opossums, skunks, bobcats… and the list goes on. Or the hawk keeping an eye on things from atop an abandoned utility pole. The strange shapes found in the bark of an oak tree. A giant rock in the shape of a toadstool.
